Welcome to this moment of self-care.
Allow your eyes to gently close and let yourself arrive here,
Not halfway,
Not with one foot still in the day,
But all the way here.
Take a deep breath in,
Filling your stomach,
Filling your chest,
And gently sigh it out.
Take another big breath in,
Filling your stomach and your chest,
And gently sigh it out.
Take one more big breath in,
Filling your stomach,
Allowing your chest to expand with air,
And sigh it out.
Allow your breath to return to its normal pace,
And with each exhale,
Release a little of what you've been carrying.
You don't need your mind to be perfectly quiet.
You don't need to get it right.
You only need to allow this moment to be as it is,
And let that be enough.
Place all of your attention at the very top of your head,
And imagine a gentle wave of warm light moving there across your face,
Relaxing the muscles around your eyes,
Around your mouth,
Letting your jaw loosen,
And let every tension melt away.
Imagine this warm wave moving down your neck and your shoulders,
Letting them droop,
Letting them find more ease,
And letting every tension melt away.
And let this warmth and ease move down your shoulders,
Your arms,
All the way to your hands and fingers,
And imagine that they feel so heavy where they are,
So relaxed,
And allowing your arms to just melt,
And be supported.
And bring your attention to your chest,
Imagine that warmth growing there,
Allowing it to expand with more ease,
More peace,
And let that feeling move down into your stomach,
Letting it settle and find calm,
And imagine that wave of calm moving down your legs,
Past your knees all the way to your feet,
And imagine that your legs are so heavy where they are,
Like they could just melt,
And let this wave of ease and peace move throughout your entire body.
There is nothing to do but just be in this space.
Allow your body this moment of peace,
And allow your mind to gently open.
Let your body become heavy and soft,
You are safe here,
Let yourself be held just for these few minutes by something larger than doing,
And gently bring to mind one pattern,
A pattern that keeps repeating in your life,
Something you've noticed that shows up again and again as you move through this world.
Imagine that pattern as if it's something you can hold,
Something fragile,
Hold it the way you would,
Something sacred and old,
Not to condemn it,
Not to be ashamed of it,
But simply to see it clearly in the light.
This pattern was not born with you,
It was learned,
It was a small child's brilliant solution to a world that was sometimes too much,
Too unpredictable.
This pattern kept you safe,
And so we honor it for now,
And with great tenderness,
Tell it,
I see you,
I understand why you came,
And now I'm ready to choose something different.
And as you hold this pattern in your hands,
Ask a question,
Who am I beneath this?
Who has been waiting behind this pattern,
Patient and whole?
Let that version of you come forward,
Not as a fantasy,
But as a deep truth waiting to be remembered by you.
Notice that version of you,
How she breathes,
How she stands in a room,
How she meets the hard moments,
Not with armor,
But with rootedness.
This version of you isn't far away,
She's you,
Coming home to you.
And notice,
Just notice this version of you,
Who is ready to see the light.
Let her breathe,
Let her be,
Let her live within your heart.
Let this be the version of you that you show to the world.
Breathe her in.
Your body is listening.
Your mind is taking notes.
Notice what this version of you believes.
Does she believe that she is whole?
Does she believe that she is worthy?
Pay attention to what comes up and ask this version of you,
What do you wish for me to know and notice what shows up and carry this message with you as you move forward.
And when you're ready,
We'll slowly come back to the present moment,
Taking a big breath in,
Feeling your fingers and toes reconnecting to your body and to the present moment,
And slowly opening your eyes,
Remembering this version of you,
Beneath the stories,
Beneath the patterns,
The beauty,
The light,
And strength that lives within you.
