Welcome.
This meditation is a mantra practice for the root chakra,
The energy center connected to grounding,
Safety,
And inner strength.
Find a comfortable seated position or lie down if that feels more supportive.
Allow your body to settle like a leaf slowly floating down toward the steady strength of the earth below.
Let your shoulders soften.
Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Begin to take a slow breath in through the nose and a long exhale out.
We'll begin with a few rounds of slow breathing.
Inhaling for the count of four,
Three,
Two,
One,
And exhaling for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathing in for four and exhaling for five.
Continuing with this breathing,
Allowing yourself to feel more grounded with each cycle of breath.
Slowly begin to allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm.
Notice the places where your body connects to the earth.
Your feet,
Your legs,
Your seat.
Imagine the earth beneath you,
Steady,
Supportive,
And strong.
With every breath,
Allow your body to feel more rooted and grounded.
Now imagine roots gently extending downward from the base of your spine.
These roots travel through the floor,
Into the soil,
And deep into the earth.
The earth holds you.
The earth supports you.
The earth steadies you.
Now we'll begin silently repeating the following mantras with each rhythm of your breath.
Allow each phrase to settle slowly into your body.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
I am grounded in the earth's strength.
I trust my strength.
I stand strong in my boundaries.
I belong here.
Let the mantras gently fade,
Returning to the natural rhythm of your breath.
Notice the support beneath your body,
The steady presence of the earth below you.
Take one slow breath in and a gentle breath out.
Take your time gently returning to your space,
Bringing your awareness back to your body and your surroundings.
You're welcome to revisit this meditation whenever you need to feel more rooted or supported.
Thank you for practicing with me,
Kim Pask,
Through mind and movement.
May you move toward peace and steadiness.
