And today I want to guide you in a simple practice to relax and reset your nervous system.
It's called inner humming.
So if you will.
Sit comfortably upright.
Relax your palms cupped in your lap with the tips of your thumbs touching lightly.
In an open receptive posture.
And when you're ready.
You can lightly close your eyes.
Let's begin with a nice,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
And a nice long slow exhalation.
Letting go.
Settling in your seat.
And being present.
Inside your body.
As we do this practice,
We're going to do all breathing in and out through your nose.
So let's begin with a nice deep inhalation in through your nose.
And as you exhale.
Hum with a subtle smile on your lips.
Om.
Again.
Home.
Each time you exhale and hum,
Really feel the vibration.
Resonating through your nasal passages.
Through your mouth,
Your tongue.
Your whole head.
Your throat,
And even your whole body.
So again,
Let's breathe in.
Aum Aum Aum Home.
Aum Home.
And feel your body as a whole from the inside.
Feel the entire space inside and including your skin.
And notice how you feel.
Smile as you enjoy the feeling.
Relaxed inner presence.
Really so kidding.
Let it saturate your being.
And now very slowly.
Begin to open your eyes.
Doing that same feeling with eyes open.
Take that feeling with you into your day.
And return to this simple practice anytime.
To relax.
And reset.
