Thanks for joining me here on your morning drive.
I am very happy that you have chosen to take this time to set the tone for your day,
To be conscious about what you want to do,
How you want to show up,
Who you want to be.
Set some intentions.
So if you're driving,
We can't do meditation,
We can't close our eyes,
We need to be safe on the road,
But we can talk about our day and we can set some intentions and really ground in to what's to come.
It's a good way to start our day.
I want you to first,
Though,
Ground into the moment you are driving,
You are moving in a four-wheeled vehicle,
Hurtling down the road on a rock,
Hurtling through space,
Like what a time to be alive.
And I want you to look around you and what's your weather look like today?
Just make a note,
Bring your awareness to outside of you.
Is there cars in front of you?
Cars behind you?
What color are they?
What make are they?
What's around you?
Are you driving through the prairies,
The mountains,
A city,
Traffic?
What's around you?
And can you find beauty in what's around you right now?
I want you to pick three things right now that you can say,
This is beautiful.
There's beauty all around us if only we focus on it.
What we put out is what we get back.
So now,
We've looked outside,
I want you to look inside,
You know,
What is it,
What do you want this day to look like?
Who do you want to be today?
Do you want to be gossiping with your coworkers,
Judging people,
Getting angry,
Or do you want to have compassion and understanding and grace?
Do you feel like people dump on you?
Are you kind of an energetic vampire yourself?
What does that look like?
Who are you when you are at work and who do you want to be?
And today could be the perfect day for you to change that or continue that.
You know,
For me,
I like putting my invisible cape on before I go out into the world because I am very sensitive and empathetic and I find if I don my cloak of protection,
I'm a little bit better protected against other people's energies.
Do you need to do the same?
Do you complain a lot?
Maybe you can challenge yourself to go an hour without complaining.
Do you interrupt people?
Do you talk too much?
Do you work hard?
Not hard enough?
This drive is for you to decide who you want to be,
How you want to show up,
And how you want to be perceived.
This is kind of your hype track.
Who am I today?
Who do I want to be?
Yeah!
Her!
Him!
They!
This is who I want to be.
And that's for you to decide who that person is.
So ground down into this moment.
Feel your hands upon the steering wheel,
Your bum against the seat,
Your feet against the floor.
Notice any sensations.
Feel your breath coming in through your nose.
Maybe you need to sigh it out.
Maybe you need to yawn a couple times.
What do you need right now to have your best day?
Because you're alive right now.
You're not a mosquito.
You're not a gerbil.
You get to be a human having a human experience.
And what a beautiful thing that is.
How beautiful is it that you get to feel love and joy and sadness and excitement.
You get to walk around on two feet and use your fingers and kiss and hug.
You get to be a human today.
And what do you want your human experience to look like today?
What do you want your energy to look like?
I don't know if you know this,
But breathing patterns are contagious,
Kind of like body language.
So when you get to work or wherever you're going,
When you put that car in park,
I want you to take 30 seconds and just take a few deep breaths.
Breathe in a color,
Whatever color resonates with you.
Maybe it's a bright gold or white or purple even.
And let that color be reflective of the vibe or the traits that you want to put out into the world.
So you're going to inhale joy and you're going to exhale anything stagnant that isn't serving you.
Maybe you had a rough morning with your kids.
Maybe you had a rough morning with your spouse.
Maybe something broke in your house.
You're going to exhale all that.
And then sigh it out.
Oh,
We are letting go of that,
Letting it go.
Because now we have a new moment to choose again.
Every moment is a chance to choose again.
So what are you going to choose?
Breathe it in,
Breathe in what you want,
Exhale what you don't want.
Breathe in what you need,
Exhale what you don't need.
And just take this moment to set the stage for who you want to show up as when you go in through those doors.
Take a few more deep breaths here.
Maybe sing a little song,
Do a little jig,
Give a little shake.
And you get on with your badass day,
You beautiful human.

And be the inspiration that other people are always looking for,
Probably yourself included.
Be that person.
