Welcome.
I'm glad you're here.
Running on empty is a particular kind of tired.
Not just sleepy.
But used up.
If that's where you are,
You don't need to find more energy to do this practice.
There's nothing here that asks anything of you except for a few minutes of breathing.
So let yourself settle wherever you are.
Lying down or sitting,
Whatever is easiest right now.
Feel the support beneath you,
Taking your weight.
You don't need to hold yourself up for the next few minutes.
So just begin.
By noticing your breath.
Just as it is.
There's nothing to change yet.
Only to notice.
Stay here for a little while.
At whatever pace your breath naturally falls into.
When you're ready.
Let your exhale soften and take a little more time.
Without any sense of effort.
Let your body sink a little further into its support.
Each time you breathe out.
Continue at your own pace.
For a few more rounds.
Let each exhale complete itself fully and notice the pause that follows before the next breath comes.
Allow your face to soften.
There's nothing here you need to do beyond this.
And stay with this practice for as long as feels right.
When you feel ready,
Allow your breath to return to its own rhythm.
Running on empty doesn't resolve in a few minutes.
And this practice was never going to refill the tank completely.
What it offers instead is a small,
Steady pause inside the emptiness.
So when you're ready.
Deepen your next inhale gently.
Let your eyes drift open in your own time.
If this was helpful,
I have more breathwork for exhausted days on my profile.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
