Have you ever felt overwhelmed by circumstances that are out of your control, by the outside environment, by what you see happening in the world around you? I know that I can get overwhelmed at times and I feel like we all do at different times in our lives, our daily routines, our roles, etc. In this talk, I share my own situations of overwhelm as well as how I move through them quickly while at the same time developing trust with my body, my soul, my energy, my connection to nature, and Mother Gaia, herself. Enjoy! LOVE. Jocelyn b.

I wanted to talk for a minute about the days when I feel overwhelmed.

I feel overwhelmed as a holistic person,

As a holistic mama to three,

As a human being here on the earth with access to so much information all across the world,

Who researches and studies and often sits on the side of a minority when it comes to health and wellness.

I can get so overwhelmed when I begin to have those moments where I'm trying to do something good for myself or my kids.

And here's a small example of that.

Buying groceries.

I am a super holistic person who reads labels,

Who buys organic,

Who plants seeds in our garden,

Who doesn't drink from plastic water bottles.

I understand health,

And I want to pass that on to my children.

So here I am going into a store,

And I go into the vegetable or fruit aisle,

And I pick up maybe a red pepper.

And it's organic,

But I still know that it's been treated,

But that's pretty much until my garden begins.

And the seeds of overwhelm begin to grow when I think how nutritious this soil was that this red pepper was grown in,

The minerals and vitamins that it needs to have to feed my family.

I might begin to think,

Well,

When it comes to fruits and vegetables,

Are we treating the earth and soil the way it needs to be treated?

Are we getting what we need from our food?

Maybe I'll end up in the supplement aisle going,

Hmm,

Maybe I need to supplement with something because the fruits and vegetables don't have what they used to have within them.

And then I'm in the supplement aisle,

And I go,

Okay,

It's not really great to consistently have to supplement and not get things from your food.

Do you understand?

And then I begin to get a little bit overwhelmed,

Like,

Well,

I really want to feed my kids well.

I want to feed me well.

I want us to be healthy.

And I can begin to get overwhelmed.

Now,

This isn't something that happens all the time,

But I do have moments of this.

It's like with the air,

When you want to take a really deep breath outside and feel it in your lungs,

And then you see chemtrails in the sky,

Or you're close to a place where they are fertilizing,

Or you're at a playground,

And they just ended up spraying the grounds.

Or you're near a 5G tower,

And you're aware of EMFs.

All of this happens in a moment.

It's like,

Oh,

All of a sudden,

Everything comes into focus,

And you can see almost likeβ€”oh,

I hate to use this word,

But you can almost see the matrix of everything around you,

And you can start to feel powerless,

Because I can't take down a 5G tower.

I can't tell a town to stop fertilizing for the playground for all those kids playing on it,

Right?

I can't change the soil that my fruit is coming from,

And I don't have enough space in my yard to have a garden that feeds me all year long,

Especially where I live.

I want my kids to wear 100% cotton,

Organic cotton,

But it's very expensive,

And it's also really hard to find,

Especially things like socks or,

You know,

Stretch pants.

You can go down that whole rabbit hole,

But now I have polyester in my clothes,

Polyurethane that is in the clothes that are on my children's skin.

So you can get overwhelmed in a moment,

Because I can't change that.

I can't make,

Necessarily,

Fabric to create the clothes that my children wear,

And I can't afford,

Maybe,

Exactly what I want to put them in.

You can get overwhelming being a holistic person.

And that sense of powerlessness,

That doesn't help,

Right?

That sense of,

Well,

I can't change it.

It's not up to me.

It could take years to fight something if you brought something to a court,

Or if you tried to do something in that direction,

It could take years.

So you start to,

It's easy to fall into this overwhelm and start to feel powerless.

And it's in these moments that I notice and that I take conscious action,

Because as much as it can feel powerless in that outside environment world,

We are not powerless within ourselves.

We are a part of nature,

And nature is a part of us.

We can heal ourselves,

And our souls within our bodies can bring us to the places that can help us heal.

We have energy within us.

That energy can be cleansed,

Cleared,

And filtered.

We can bring light to our bodies with consciousness and awareness.

And sometimes our souls will point us to a practice or a person or a tool that we need when we're in conversation with our body,

Which is part of nature.

So when you have those moments of overwhelm,

And I just explained some of my moments of overwhelm,

And they don't happen all the time,

But they do come.

And when I begin to be aware of it,

What I'll do is I will,

Well,

It's depending on where I am and what I'm doing,

But if I have the opportunity,

I will go outside,

Either in my yard or go for a walk or sit on a park bench somewhere.

And I will get comfortable for a minute,

And I'll soften my gaze,

And I'll begin to consciously breathe my way back into relationship with nature,

With where I came from.

Because nature is wondrous.

All of these things that bring me overwhelm come from people trying to replicate or change nature.

But nature itself is wondrous.

It's self-healing.

We are nature,

And nature is us.

So I will sit somewhere,

And I will soften my gaze,

And I will consciously breathe myself back into nature.

I'll begin with inhaling a sense of awe.

Awe and wonder around the air that surrounds me.

How many lives has that air touched?

What kind of journey has that air had?

How far away from me has it been?

How many things has it carried on it?

How many pieces of nature are being held within the air that I'm breathing?

And if it worries me to think like that,

Because it can be worrisome too,

I will rely and trust on my energetic body to filter.

So if I'm worried about breathing in air and all of nature that lives within it,

Because of man-made things,

Or maybe natural things,

Then I will really connect with my energetic field and I'll intend my energetic field to be a filter to those things that are not in my highest and greatest good.

So that filter is there.

So now I can trust.

And when I inhale from this place of wonder and awe of nature,

I feel the stories entering me.

I feel the nourishment,

The nutrients,

And I allow myself to feel the oneness of taking in this oxygen.

And when I exhale,

I like to think of my exhale as a gift to the next person who's breathing it in.

And I only hope that that gift is received,

Even if it's a squirrel or a deer or my neighbor or if it's 300 miles away.

And I do this for about five minutes.

It doesn't have to be a long time,

With my eyes on focus,

Just in awe of the air that surrounds me,

Of this ocean of air.

Inhaling,

And if I have to inhale through that shield or that protection or that filter of my energetic body,

I use that.

But I inhale in,

Taking in that oneness,

That completeness,

That piece of nature that's going to nourish me.

And as I exhale out,

I give back a gift,

Because I am also nature.

And again,

I do this for maybe five minutes,

And at the end of that five minutes,

I whisper thank you.

And I don't think I've ever done this and finished and not felt closer to Mother Gaia,

Not felt my roots reach a little bit further in.

And it eases my overwhelm,

Because I can take care of myself on a level of a human being,

A part of nature,

With an energetic field,

Mental,

Emotional,

Physiological,

Spiritual self.

When I do this,

It begins to,

Like I said,

I begin to trust myself.

So I'm taking care of myself.

And sometimes that's all you can do.

So I hope this talk helps a little bit anyone else who feels that overwhelm for outside circumstances that you may not have control over.

But it's easy enough with all the information that we have to become overwhelmed,

To not see the answers.

And in those moments,

Unfocus your eyes,

Get out in nature,

Find the wonder and awe.

Use your energetic shield if you need to,

Your energetic body to be a filter,

To allow only in those things that are in your highest and greatest good.

Inhaling consciously,

Exhaling consciously.

Just five minutes a day,

Just five minutes will make a difference.

And the more you're able to do this,

You'll find that in those moments of overwhelm,

You may not even need to go outside.

All of a sudden,

Your trust is there.

Okay,

I am a soul in a human body.

I am one with nature.

I do have power here.

And I can be safe,

Protected,

Cleansed,

Cleared,

Brought to where I need to be to heal or to heal myself.

It's all within.

So thank you so much for listening to this short little talk.
