Transcript

Come to your most comfortable seat and as you sit down and allow your sitting bones to release,

Can you sit up a little bit taller and then roll your shoulders up and back,

Allowing them to release away from the ears and gently whenever you're ready,

Close your eyes.

We will begin today with breathing in a different way than usual.

This time we're going to be breathing in through the nose twice and then exhale out through the mouth.

Inhale through the nose twice,

Exhale out through the mouth.

Continue like this.

Two breaths in through the nose,

Exhale out through the mouth.

Two breaths in through the nose,

Exhale out through the mouth.

Your nervous system is slowing down.

Your body is becoming regulated.

You can gently relax your jaw,

Relax the tongue in your mouth.

Continuing this breath,

Two breaths in through the nose and exhale out through the mouth.

And then very gently take a breath in through the nose and hold it.

Hold,

Hold,

Hold and then gently exhale out through the mouth.

Let it go.

Very gently we begin our breath in and out through the nose.

Naturally,

Effortlessly.

And just notice how the body feels.

The difference that the breath has made for you.

The release that you feel in the body here in the now.

Allow your face to soften.

Allow your throat to release.

You are breathing and you're allowing yourself to be.

You're letting the mind rest.

At some moments,

We think that the more we think,

The more we analyze,

The more we can control a situation or a particular outcome.

But in this moment,

We're actually giving that over.

We're allowing ourselves to simply be where we are now.

And allow that to be okay.

Nothing needs to change.

Nothing needs to happen.

You are okay in this moment.

And as you breathe,

You let go of control.

You let go of how something will turn out.

And instead,

You allow miracles to unfold one breath at a time.

Each breath in and each breath out helps you release control,

Release the how,

Release the outcome.

And every exhale allows you to lean back a little bit deeper.

What if you can simply lean back right now?

If you could let go.

If you could let go of your control and give things over to a higher power.

Notice if you feel a little bit more relaxed.

Do you feel any discomfort in the body when you hear that?

What would it be like if you let go of control fully?

What would it be like if you brought your attention to right now,

How you are,

Instead of controlling all the other outcomes around you?

Bring back your focus to how are you?

You are breathing in this moment.

You are okay.

It's safe to lean back.

It's safe to let go.

And as you breathe in and out through the nose,

Gently allow the following prayer to fill up your heart.

Universe,

God,

Higher power,

Angels.

I give my control over to you.

I give my racing minds,

Any thoughts,

Analyzations,

Any need for me to control.

I give it over.

I don't have to know the outcome.

I don't have to manipulate how things will be.

I breathe in and as I breathe out,

I give my control over to you,

Knowing that I am supported.

I am fully supported and loved and held and I am not alone.

Bring forward an image of any problem that you have on your plate.

Imagine this problem in your hands.

And notice the weight it has on it.

Is it big or is it small?

Is it heavy?

Is it sharp?

Is it light?

Notice what is and how much pressure this problem has added on to you.

Notice how it feels in the palms of your hands.

And very gently,

Imagine yourself lifting up this problem and take a breath in.

And as you exhale,

Throw this problem up into the air,

Imagining it releasing from your arms as you give it over to God.

You give it over to a higher power.

You take it away from you,

Which means you no longer have to figure anything out.

You no longer have to do or control.

You can simply allow yourself to be.

As you breathe in and out through your nose,

Notice the lightness in your hands and in your body.

And notice what it feels like to fully release and give over.

It's not that you're giving up,

It's that you're giving over.

You're letting go of control and allowing yourself to be supported,

Allowing yourself to be helped.

Allowing miracles to unfold in any ways that they might.

Notice how that feels.

As you very gently breathe in and out through your nose,

Start to embrace this lightness within you.

That it gets to be this easy.

It does not have to be difficult.

You can let go and be fully supported.

Take another full breath in through your nose here.

Hold at the top.

And then exhale everything out through the mouth.

Let it release.

Whenever you are ready,

Gently open your eyes.

And allow this to carry with you through your day.

Anytime that you notice you might be trying to control an outcome or situation,

Imagine throwing that problem up into the universe,

Into God's hands,

And away from you.
