Hello.

Welcome.

I have a meditation here for you called A Meditation for the Chinese New Year 2025,

Year of the Snake.

So Happy Chinese New Year.

This is the Year of the Snake.

The Year of the Snake in 2025 symbolizes transformation,

Wisdom,

Renewal.

It represents the closure of old chapters and the openings of new ones,

Encouraging us all to embrace change and growth.

This will be a year to cultivate patience,

To pursue some self-improvement activities,

And seek balance in our lives.

When you're ready to begin this meditation with me,

Get cozy,

Close your eyes,

And just gently settle into your space.

And when you're ready to begin,

Let's begin.

We'll start with three deep cleansing breaths.

We'll inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth with a sigh.

And as you inhale,

Fill your body up with nourishing oxygen.

And as you exhale,

I invite you to exhale anything you'd like to let go of or transform or renew for this Year of the Snake.

Inhale.

Exhale through the mouth.

Twice more.

Inhale.

Exhale through the mouth and just let go of what you'd like to see,

Let go of.

Inhale.

And one more time,

Let's exhale it out.

Exhale it out.

Let it go.

All right,

We all know the snake's ability to shed its skin.

The shedding of the skin is a symbol of transformation.

This process of shedding is seen as a metaphor for personal growth,

Like shedding of old habits,

Embracing new possibilities.

The Year of the Snake,

Significant change.

Like I said,

Transformation.

Encouraging us to leave behind what no longer serves us.

Now I invite you to spend a few moments in silence,

Reflecting upon what you might like to shed in this Chinese New Year,

Year of the Snake.

So I'll provide you with a little silence here.

Reflect,

What would you like to shed?

Hold this vision of what you'd like to shed.

And what would your life feel like and look like after this shedding occurs?

Now,

I invite you to really feel into this.

What would your life feel like?

And really see it.

What would your life look like after this shedding occurs?

Experience it in your mind.

All right,

Let's shed it with some breaths,

Shall we?

So,

This is how it'll look.

We're going to inhale through the nose,

And this time when we exhale through the mouth with that cleansing breath,

We're going to hiss it out like a snake.

And I encourage you to see what you are shedding,

Just like that snake's skin as you hiss it out through your mouth.

Let's do this.

Let's shed what you'd like to shed in the Year of the Snake.

Inhale through the nose.

And then exhale through the mouth with that hissing sound.

See it,

Feel it,

Let it go.

Inhale through the nose.

Let's exhale it.

Let the breath completely hiss out.

Keep going,

Keep going,

Keep going.

Again,

Inhale through the nose.

And let's hiss out whatever you're shedding through the mouth.

Let's do it.

Notice how you feel.

Maybe you feel a little lighter,

Physically and mentally.

Maybe you feel a little more energetic about your transformation.

You also might feel some fear around your transformation.

Fear can be a real thing.

Just notice it without judgment.

Whatever you're feeling physically and mentally in this moment,

It's OK.

Know you can experience transformation.

Yes,

You can.

You're adaptable and resilient.

And you're capable of reinventing yourself and navigating life's challenges.

You have the ability to transform.

Going back to how you see yourself after you've shed what no longer serves you.

Seeing your life,

Seeing your life,

Seeing it fully.

The year the snake energy is also often known for its ability to move silently and strike unexpectedly,

Just like a snake.

It symbolizes the power of influence,

That quiet strength.

So for this next reflection,

I invite you to just know what is it that you're feeling that might be unexpected during this transformation and the shedding process that you're looking to experience.

It might be a quiet yet strong transformation.

It might be something that strikes unexpectedly,

Just like that snake.

It might be more of an internal shedding,

An internal transformation rather than an external one.

This is your life.

Tune in to that year of the snake energy.

For 2025 specifically,

We're looking at the wood snake energy.

And that hasn't been in our energy field since 1965.

The wood snake is known for its creativity.

It's known for its intelligence.

It's known for its imagination,

Its knowledge.

And you might feel these particular characteristics around your own shedding and your own transformation.

Let's go back once more to our cleansing breath using that hissing snake sound.

And once again,

I invite you to inhale through the nose,

Filling yourself with oxygen and keep hissing that air out until you are completely devoid of all the air that you inhale and more.

That's that shedding process,

That transformation process.

Let's do this.

Three more of those cleansing breaths with that hissing exhale.

Inhale through the nose.

Let's exhale it through the mouth.

Hiss it out.

Keep going until all the air is released.

And then let's go two more.

Inhale.

Hiss it out just like a snake.

Keep going until you've released all that air.

And then once more,

We shall inhale.

And exhale.

Keep going,

Hissing it out just like a snake.

And then bringing your breath back to its natural rhythm,

Pace,

And depth.

And just sit for a moment in silence and notice how you feel.

When you are ready to come back from this meditation,

Start to become aware of your surroundings.

Returning from our deep transformative journey.

When you're ready to open your eyes,

Do so very slowly.

I know that you can stay in this meditation longer.

Just let my voice fade and continue to work with this energy of the Chinese New Year.

Feeling mindful of your presence.

Mindful of your presence in your space.

Your presence on the planet.

Happy Chinese New Year.

You're the snake.
