This is a short somatic body scan and it's going to help you come into your body and drop out of the busy fluctuations of your mind.
Begin by finding a comfortable space,
Seated or lying down.
How can you get just a little bit more comfortable?
How can you soften into your space and allow yourself to be supported by what's holding you up,
By what's beneath you?
Start off by shining a light of awareness to the crown of your head,
Noticing the subtle sensations across the scalp,
The skin,
The space beneath.
Slowly dropping your awareness down into your forehead,
Allowing your temples to soften,
To melt and place your awareness into the space between your eyebrows.
Allow your eyes to rest heavy in their sockets and soften all of the tiny little muscles around your eyes.
Your cheeks soften,
Softening your lips,
Your jaw and the root of your tongue.
From your tongue,
Draw your awareness down into your throat,
Noticing the front,
Sides,
The back of your neck.
Notice if there is any holding here and simply allow space around it and let your awareness Let's move into your chest,
Sensing the movement of breath,
The expansion and the release.
Feel into the space of your heart,
Not needing to change anything,
Just witnessing,
Just being,
Letting awareness drop deep into your belly,
Your organs,
The deep internal space within.
As you breathe into your belly,
Imagine the breath reaching all the way down,
Massaging you with love,
Gently from within,
Softening through your outer hips,
Your pelvic bowl,
The base of your spine,
Letting your legs grow heavy,
Your thighs,
Knees soften,
All the way down into your feet,
Feeling contact and connected to the ground beneath you,
Your full of the radiant light of your noticing,
Breathing,
Sensing,
Allowing.
