Hello,
My name is Gem,
I'm from Soul & Soma,
And I want to welcome you to this revitalising and reawakening yoga knee drip practice.
Take a moment now to settle your body,
Finding a space that feels warm and comfortable.
You can lie down or sit comfortably,
But just allow yourself to be fully supported.
Slowly and gently closing your eyes if that feels comfortable to you,
Becoming aware of the contact points of your body where you meet what is supporting you.
Feeling the weight of your body being held.
Become aware of the sounds around you,
You don't need to focus on them,
But just starting to notice them.
Letting them come and go,
And now gently start to bring your awareness inward,
Into your internal world.
Can you notice your own breath,
The sound of it,
The feel of it,
As it moves in and out of your body.
And before we move deeper,
Bring your awareness to your sankalpa,
Your quiet inner resolve.
It's a short statement,
Allow it to arise from a deeper layer of your mind,
Not something that you force,
Something that carries truth for you.
Allow this sankalpa to be a seed planted in your subconscious.
Let it be simple,
In present tense,
And something that you can feel.
Now,
We begin your rotation of consciousness,
Moving awareness through your body.
Awareness like light travelling from point to point,
This should feel effortless,
There is nothing to do,
Nothing to visualise,
Just follow your awareness as it moves.
This process begins to relax your brain by systematically relaxing your body,
Moving with the awareness as though it is being guided.
If ever you find yourself lost in the busyness of the mind,
Come back to breath,
Come back to the sound of my voice and the effortless light of awareness as it moves around your body.
Starting with your right hand,
Begin by placing your awareness into the centre of your right hand,
Your right thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger.
The back of your hand,
Your wrist,
Your forearm,
Upper arm and right shoulder.
Drawing your awareness across the back of your right shoulder to your left,
And into the upper left arm,
Elbow,
Left forearm,
Wrist.
The back of the hand,
Little finger,
Ring finger,
Middle finger,
Index finger and left thumb.
Placing your awareness into the centre of your left hand,
And drawing your awareness back up the left arm and into the centre of where your two collarbones meet,
The clavicle.
The front of your throat,
The sides of your throat,
Your jaw,
The root of your tongue,
The roof of your mouth.
Your temples,
The muscles around your eyes and the space between your eyebrows.
Bringing your awareness to the crown of your head and releasing any tension you have,
Any holding that you have from your hair follicles.
Awareness to your ears and the back of your neck,
Your upper back,
Your mid back and your lower back.
Your heart space in the centre of your chest,
The sides of your ribs and your belly button.
Noticing the outer edges of your hip bones and bringing awareness to your pelvic bowl,
Your upper right thigh,
Your right kneecap,
Your right shin.
Your ankle and top of the foot,
Your big toe,
Second toe,
Third,
Fourth and little toe.
The sole of your right foot and the arch,
The top of the left thigh,
Left kneecap and shin.
The left shin,
Ankle,
Top of the foot,
Left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth and pinky toe.
The sole of your left foot and the arch,
Feeling the complete left side of your body and the complete right side of your body and your entire body.
Remaining aware,
Flowing with the flow and bringing your awareness to your breath.
Breath moving in and out of the body without changing it,
Feeling the natural rhythm of your body breathing itself.
Noticing the gentle rise of energy with the inhale and a soft settling with the exhale.
Bringing awareness to the feeling of heaviness,
Your body resting deeply,
Shifting to a sense of lightness,
A sense of ease,
A sense of floating.
Bringing awareness to warmth,
Soft warmth through your body,
Now noticing a subtle coolness.
Allow each experience to arise,
Now,
Awareness moves into imagery,
Imagining a gentle light glowing somewhere within your body,
Perhaps in the heart or the belly,
This light is steady,
It is alive and with each inhale it brightens slightly.
Allow this light to move through the body,
Restoring,
Replenishing,
Filling areas that feel dull or tired,
Bringing a quiet sense of clarity.
And a feeling of revitalisation,
Returning now to your resolve,
Your sankalpa,
Repeating it again with the same words,
The same feeling,
Let it land in your body.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Feel your body here,
Rested,
Supported,
Awareness returning to the space around you.
The energy inside of your body,
The energy surrounding your body,
Gently inviting movement to your fingers,
Your toes.
And bringing a little bit more energy back into the body,
As though you are waking from a nourishing rest,
And taking your time,
And when you are ready,
Opening your eyes,
Welcome back.
Thank you.
