Welcome to this meditation on opening to the sacred in ordinary life.
Come into stillness now as you welcome yourself to this space.
Take a few steady breaths.
Allowing your body to settle.
And acknowledge your presence here.
Let your physical body relax.
Let your shoulders soften.
Allow the surface beneath you to support you.
Feel the weight of your body.
Here in the world.
And understand the miracle that you live in every day.
The sacred doesn't only live in temples or churches.
Or in ceremonies or big moments.
Sometimes the sacred is hiding in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday.
Just waiting to be noticed.
To mind something recent that felt even slightly larger than itself.
Maybe you caught sight of an unusual sunset or a moonrise.
Maybe somebody held your hand.
So you had a pause in the middle of a busy day.
Or an animal connected with you.
Let yourself sit with that memory.
Doesn't matter if it was yesterday,
Or last week,
Or five years ago.
There's a reason that memory came up.
So,
What made it feel different from the moments around it?
You don't need to have words for the sacred to recognize its presence.
Often,
It announces itself as a kind of hush or slowing down.
Maybe that sense that something important just happened or is happening.
So,
Without judgment now.
Ask yourself gently.
Where else might I have been walking past this without stopping to notice?
You're not being asked to search harder or to work harder.
Just to see the opportunities to slow down enough to see what's already there.
Maybe to take a couple breaths.
Around the things that you notice.
Let a little more space open around your ordinary life.
Room enough for something sacred to be noticed within it.
And perhaps a hallmark of this.
Sacredness.
That doesn't need a name.
Maybe it's the undercurrent of joy.
Just quietly nothing.
Fanfares or trumpets?
Just that beautiful feeling.
Of joy and connection to the universe.
And it can just be a second or two long.
But just take a breath.
And let it in.
That's sacred.
And when you're ready.
Bring your attention back.
To your body.
To the room you're in.
Your heart beating.
To the joyful energy that's all around you.
And when you feel ready to,
Open your eyes.
And carry this openness with you.
Thank you so much for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
