Find a position where your body can be fully supported.
And it doesn't matter what position that is,
As long as you're comfortable.
Let your spine be as long as it can.
Just so that your ribs can open and you can take in easy deep breaths.
Sit or stand.
Lie down.
Let your eyes close if it feels safe.
Or just let them gently unfocus.
And take a few breaths.
You can pay attention to them,
But you don't need to change them.
Nothing needs to be perfect.
Uncertainty has a way of making meaning feel further away.
As though everything solid has been removed from underneath you.
So if that's where you are right now this meditation isn't asking you to feel differently.
It's just offering somewhere to stand.
So notice what,
If anything,
Still feel steady.
Even amid everything that's shifting.
It might be just something very small.
Like your breath.
Or it could be a relationship.
Or a value that hasn't changed even though the circumstances around it have.
So you don't need the whole picture to matter to make sense right now.
And you don't need to.
Place a value where it's not naturally and you don't need to tell yourself that.
The whys and wherefores of everything.
It's okay to just hold that feeling of certainty.
Just that one small steadiness.
And ask yourself just quietly.
.
.
What still matters to me?
Even now.
Even when everything's like this.
Let the answer be simple.
It doesn't need to solve the uncertainty.
It only needs to be honest.
It's just for you.
Meaning during uncertain times often isn't found by understanding everything.
It's found by staying connected to what you value while you wait for clarity to arrive.
While you're waiting for the uncertainty to move or change.
So just settle into that.
Knowledge that sense of what it is you value,
What it is that's steady.
And just breathe with that,
That one true thing for a moment longer.
And when you're ready.
Bring your attention back to your body.
And back to the room around you.
And open your eyes.
Carrying that one steady thing with you.
Thank you for sharing your space with me today.
Have a wonderful day.
