Welcome to this meditation where you map your inner journey.
Settle into your body.
And let your eyes close.
Take a slow breath in and out.
And welcome yourself to this space you've created today.
Imagine your inner life as a landscape.
One you've been traveling through for as long as you've been alive.
It has its own hills,
Its own valleys.
Its own long,
Flat stretches.
Without needing to review every detail.
Let yourself get a sense of where you are on the landscape right now.
Are you climbing?
Resting.
Or crossing something unfamiliar.
There's no wrong place to be on an inner journey.
Valleys are not failures.
Long,
Flat stretches are not wasted time.
They're simply part of the terrain.
Notice if you can what helped you through a difficult stretch in the past.
When maybe you had a mountain to climb.
Maybe it seemed like a long,
Long way to get somewhere.
What did you lean on at that time?
What carried you?
Think about what helped.
Maybe a routine or a relationship.
Or a particular inner knowing.
Let that resource come back into awareness now.
Available to you again if you need it.
Maybe that resource has a different shape or a different name now.
Ask yourself.
What does this stretch of the journey seem to be asking of me?
You don't need to have the whole map.
You only need to know roughly where you're standing.
And what's useful to have with you right now.
What have you got in your metaphorical backpack?
To help you on this bit of the journey.
Take a deep breath.
Let this awareness settle.
Imagine your feet standing firmly on the ground.
On this path,
On this journey.
And if you like,
You could imagine the feel of that backpack on your shoulders.
Or maybe something in your hands.
That's gonna help you.
That imaginary cool drink of water.
Halfway up a steep hill.
Or maybe somebody else's hand in yours.
We always have more resources than we think of at the time.
So take a moment to just acknowledge yours.
And to see where they are and how you can reach them.
While you're on your journey.
And when you're ready,
Gently switch your awareness back to the body you're in.
Back to the space around you.
Let that image of your journey and your landscape Just dissolve a little.
It's still there.
But let yourself be here.
Hold those resources in your hands.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready.
Open your eyes.
Thank you so much for sharing your space with me today.
And have a wonderful day.
