Welcome to this Reign of Calm guided meditation.
Go ahead and make yourself comfortable.
So sitting upright with your chin tucked in toward the chest and your spine extended upward,
Rest your hands in your lap and when you are ready,
Gently close your eyes.
Now let's take a couple of deep relaxing breaths,
Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth.
Taking a long deep breath in through the nose and breathe out slowly and gently.
Breathing in deeply and breathing out slowly.
Notice the physical sensations in the body as you breathe.
Notice the rise and fall of the belly and chest.
Breathing in deeply and breathing out slowly.
Now allow the breath to settle,
Let it be soft and natural,
Not controlling the breath in any way.
And imagine that there are beautiful clouds that begin to form above your head and these clouds can be whatever color you wish,
Maybe a bright blue,
A gentle pink or even a deep forest green and a gentle rain begins to shower down upon you.
The temperature of the rain is perfect,
It's not too cold and not too warm,
It feels just right.
The rain smells like the most beautiful refreshing scent.
Maybe this scent reminds you of the ocean breeze or maybe it reminds you of flowers.
Just notice whatever arises for you in this moment.
Notice how the raindrops are colored,
They are the same colors the clouds say are falling from.
The sound of the rain begins to soothe your body and your mind.
The sound of the raindrops as they fall upon your body sound like a beautiful melody quietly playing.
It is lulling your body and your mind into complete relaxation.
When the raindrops fall on your body,
It caresses your skin with the perfect temperature,
The perfect sensation and the perfect feeling.
As you allow yourself to be showered by this relaxing,
Soothing rain,
You notice that the rain begins to take away all your stress,
All your worries and all your concerns.
It is removing all your anxiety and unpleasant emotions that you wish to release.
As the raindrops fall upon you,
It takes all of your stress and carries it down to the earth beneath you,
Away from your body.
It gently flows deep down into the earth,
Taking anything that you no longer need with it.
You feel very grateful for the rain showering you down with this peaceful relaxation.
Breathing gently,
You take your time to smell the beautiful scent of the rain.
As you inhale,
The refreshing scents move into your body,
Relaxing you even deeper.
And as you breathe out,
The breath continues to take away all your stress and all your anxieties,
Carrying it all away from you,
Deep down into the earth.
So continue to breathe deeply as you experience this soothing feeling.
Breathing in and breathing out at a pace that feels comfortable for you,
Allowing this experience to wash away any negative thoughts you want to release.
Allowing this experience to wash away any emotions and feelings you wish to release.
Letting it all go with the rain flowing down your body.
This rain is taking anything that you are willing to release.
Feeling the flow of the water down on your skin,
Letting everything go.
Giving this rain the permission to take away what you no longer need.
Keep your breath going,
Feeling your body relaxed,
Feeling your mind let go,
Feeling all your emotions balance out into peace and tranquility,
Enjoying this peaceful experience just as you are.
When you are ready,
Begin to gently let go of this visualization,
Knowing that the rain will always be here for you whenever you may want to return.
So begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers,
Maybe taking a light stretch,
Noticing how your body feels,
Coming back into your surroundings.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
