This meditation is designed to relax your favorite little dino lover to sleep. It uses gentle relaxation and breathing exercises to get all the wiggles out, reset the nervous system, and prepare both body and mind for a peaceful sleep. Your little one will journey in their imagination to Dino World. There they will meet a new friend who will help them calm down and relax. This meditation is suitable for children aged 3-10. Hello my friend,

It's time to wind down and relax.

Start laying down with your back on your bed.

Stretch out the soft bed underneath you,

Like a soft fluffy cloud.

Let all those wiggles out by swishing your knees from side to side,

That's right.

And then stretch your legs down flat on the bed.

Now put one leg up to the ceiling,

Wiggle your toes,

And drop it down to the bed.

Then the other leg goes up,

Wiggle those toes,

And down to the bed,

Drop.

And then one arm up like you're touching the sky,

Wiggle your fingers to touch the stars,

And then let it drop.

Next arm up to the sky,

Wiggle those fingers like you're tickling a teddy bear,

And drop.

Good job.

Now all your hands and legs up to the sky together,

Wiggle wiggle wiggle,

And drop.

As you drop down,

Feel your body sink deeper and deeper into the bed.

Feel yourself sinking like your hand sinks into slime,

Becoming completely absorbed by the softness around you.

Your bed is a bed of soft gooeyness,

And it's so nice and squishy.

It feels good to be still and rest here.

It's calming,

Relaxing,

And peaceful.

Now that all your wiggles are out,

Pull your blanket up over you,

Your body becoming as still as a statue underneath.

Feel your legs sink even more deeply into the ooey gooey softness of the bed,

And your arms are sinking down,

Down,

Down.

Close your eyes if you haven't already,

And use your powerful imagination.

With eyes closed,

We can now see with our mind a new place of wonder.

.

.

It's Dino World.

Imagine yourself in a boat on a river,

Floating towards a flourishing forest.

This forest is filled with colorful plants and gigantic trees,

So lush and green.

The air smells fresh,

Let the oxygen fill your lungs with one giant dinosaur breath in,

And let the big dino breath out,

Watching the trees sway with your powerful breath.

And again,

Breathe in the fresh,

Sweet smelling air,

And blow out on those giant trees,

Watching them sway with your powerful breath.

One last deep dino breath in,

And with your out breath,

Blow the tree leaves.

.

.

Very good.

.

.

That last breath really helped you relax even more.

As you float on the river,

You come to the forest's edge and step out onto the land.

You see now a baby brachiosaurus peeking his head over the treetops,

Munching on the leaves.

As he chews slowly and rhythmically,

It sounds almost musical to you.

.

.

It's very relaxing.

As you approach the brachiosaurus,

You know that he is a friend.

.

.

A smile stretches across his face,

And he has a sparkle in his eye.

Come closer now to this incredible creature.

.

.

He is gentle,

And you are safe.

Place your hand on his skin,

And feel the bumpy texture as dino kneels down.

This says to you that he wants to give you a ride.

You climb up onto his back.

Feel the warmth of your new dino friend under you.

.

.

Supporting you completely.

Wrap your arms like a hug around him,

And let your head rest on his long neck.

You feel very happy that you have made a new friend.

He looks back at you to make sure you are ready to start moving.

When you are ready,

You can let him know.

And now the dino begins to walk slowly and safely through the forest.

His slow,

Steady pace relaxes you even more.

Moving left then right,

Left then right,

One step at a time.

The more the dino journeys at this peaceful pace,

The more calm you feel,

And you feel like you can rest now.

With your body fully supported on your new dino friend,

Let yourself drift off into a deeply relaxing sleep right now.

That's right,

Very good.

And you can rest here,

Knowing that you are safe and supported until your body has received everything it needs.

Sleep well,

Little friend.
