Welcome,
Dear one.
This is a meditation for those times when you need healing in your intestinal and digestive tract.
If you are experiencing pain or discomfort,
I welcome you to this healing place.
In a moment,
I will guide your subconscious into a visualization where you can mentally explore healing through the imagery of nature.
Nature heals,
And your body wants to work with nature,
And work in its nature,
To heal itself.
You may use this meditation to prepare for a deeply healing and restorative nights sleep.
Let's begin.
We'll start by grounding ourselves in a place of comfort,
Whether that be seated or lying down.
Wherever you are,
Become aware of what's supporting you,
How it feels to be supported.
Pay attention to how your body connects with whatever you're resting on.
Feel it solid beneath you,
And allow your body to sink into it.
Take a moment to feel supported,
Connected,
And grounded.
I invite you to close your eyes gently,
And draw your attention to your breath.
Breathe in deeply,
Fully,
And completely.
And then let the air whoosh out of your body,
Releasing it fully.
Breathe in again,
And out.
As you continue these deep,
Full body breaths,
Feel yourself sink even deeper into whatever is supporting you.
And you sink deeper and deeper into total relaxation.
Now bring a healing hand to your stomach.
Feel the warmth and energy of that connection.
Say to yourself one simple phrase,
It's okay.
.
.
It's okay.
.
.
It's okay.
With your body relaxed,
Journey into your imagination right now.
Imagine yourself in a boat,
Floating down a relaxing river.
You are surrounded by nature,
Trees and plants of many kinds.
Birds are singing beautifully above you.
The air is a perfect temperature,
It's very peaceful and relaxing.
The breeze is soft and calming,
And the sun is warm and comforting to you.
You can hear the sound of gentle waves lapping against the boat.
Look into the water,
It's crystal clear.
You can see life just below the surface,
Small fish,
Tiny tadpoles.
You can even see down to the bottom,
Where a rainbow of colorful rocks lie.
Admire their beauty,
How the water has smoothed them out with time.
As you gently flow down the river,
You relax into the flow more and more.
You don't have to try or strive or struggle.
All you need to do is sit back and let the current take you.
You can trust the flow,
It knows where you need to go.
Relax back now into your boat.
Feel yourself fully supported in your seat,
Allowing you to recline to the perfect level.
Release your muscles,
Letting go of any tightness in your body.
As you hear that trickling water around you,
Begin to feel a gentle flow within you as well.
You feel total synchronization with the river and your body,
Feeling a sense of connection and flow.
There is nothing you need to push or make happen.
All you need to do is relax and release,
And it will all happen as it's meant to.
As you look out to the shoreline,
Notice how the trees and shrubs seem to pass by without any effort on your part.
The current is taking you at a nice,
Steady pace.
You feel amazed by its strength and constant yet quiet presence.
Had you not looked to the side,
You might have felt stagnant or stationary.
And yet there is movement and life and strength here.
When you recognize the same is true for you,
All you need to do is relax and trust.
Now gaze out and ahead.
You notice in the distance a large bridge.
It seems a ways off yet,
But you sense it is an important milestone on your journey.
You feel a sudden motivation and inspiration well up in you to reach it.
Pick up your paddle now and row towards that goal.
Keep a gentle,
Steady pace.
Medium effort.
There's no need to strain or struggle.
Just work with the flow of the river and work with the flow of your breath and your body.
As you work together,
You feel synchronization take root and establish in you.
You can rest and take breaks whenever you need to,
Knowing that the river will continue to flow and continue to take you wherever you need to go.
The river works with you and for you.
You work now towards that bridge,
Towards that important milestone on your journey.
The closer you get,
The more confidence you feel.
The more you trust yourself and the flow.
You are almost to the bridge now.
It stands tall and majestic before you.
You marvel at its impressive architecture.
As you approach,
It feels like you accelerate without any additional effort.
Miraculously and exponentially,
It becomes closer and nearer.
Now you feel the exhilaration of floating under the bridge.
You are filled with excitement,
Joy,
And accomplishment.
You know that having crossed this bridge,
You are almost to the end of your journey.
The river bends to the right.
Just around the bend,
You see a place to dock your boat.
You row towards it now,
Feeling so happy that you embarked on this journey.
As your boat meets the shore once again,
Feel amazed by the river's ability to carry you and to work with you.
This river has taught you to go with the flow,
To release and relax.
It has been a great teacher to you,
And a great friend.
With your feet back on the sandy shore now,
You look back at the river with great admiration.
Its peaceful,
Glistening surface calms you.
Its steady and constant flow fills your heart with gratitude.
It is time to leave this peaceful place,
But you can take with you those feelings of ease and newfound trust in the flow of life.
You've learned to trust your own body's ability to go with the flow and sync with nature.
You feel hopeful and confident for whatever healing your body needs in this moment.
Whenever you hear or see water,
You'll be reminded of the important lessons the river taught you today.
Water will serve as an anchor of trust,
Connection and flow as your body continues to experience healing and find balance again.
And now that you've returned to land,
Find a peaceful place to rest.
Perhaps a spot on the beach or under a shady tree.
Cozy up in this place as you prepare for the most restorative sleep you've ever known.
When you're ready,
Allow yourself to drift off into a deep,
Deep sleep.
Heal well,
Dear one.
