This meditation prepares you for a positive, peaceful birth. By tuning in to the power of nature within, it enables you to feel strengthened and empowered. It engages your imagination to align with, visualize, and realize your hopes for your birthing experience. This practice can also help stave away anxiety and insomnia, promoting relaxation. As mental exercise, utilizing it regularly in the final trimester of pregnancy is highly recommended. The more it is listened to, the more powerful it can become. It can be utilized as a companion with other birth relaxation meditations, such as "Relaxing Birthing Meditation - Beach". It is best when listened to upon waking or just before falling asleep. Welcome.

In a moment,

I will guide you through a meditation that will relax and prepare you for an empowering peaceful birth experience.

We'll be using the power of imagination and the subconscious mind to connect to your baby and imagine a positive birth.

Make yourself comfortable.

Shift your body,

Working your wiggles of tension out,

Allowing your eyelids to gently close.

Without forcing them,

Just feel that comfortable release in resting your eyes and with them the rest of your face.

Feel each muscle begin to untangle and release.

Imagine all the little worry lines being ironed and smoothed out.

Let's take deep grounding breaths.

Breathe in through your nostrils and out through your mouth with a sigh.

Breathing in and breathing out.

As you breathe in,

Feel a life-giving power fill your entire body.

Imagine each inward breath feeding a sphere of light within you.

Symbolic of this power,

This life-giving strength.

It grows more and more bright with each breath.

Deep breath in.

Long breath out.

With each outward breath,

Release any tension,

Fear and anxiety.

Feel the breath like a wave receding from your body and with it taking away anything you need to let go of,

Anything causing you tension.

Breathing in.

Breathing out.

Feel your body sinking deeper and deeper into total relaxation.

You are safe.

You are safe.

Place your hand on your womb,

That wonderful area of fullness that holds your baby.

Connect now with your little one,

Feeling any subtle movements that signal your baby is with you,

Connected and one with you.

Two hearts beating and two souls living in harmony.

Sense the energy flowing between you,

Bringing relaxation and a sense of wholeness across your entire body.

Up from your womb space,

To your belly,

Your chest and back,

Your throat and neck,

Your face and your mind.

Head back down from your womb,

Through your low back to your pelvic floor,

Down your legs,

Your feet and out your toes.

Letting that wave of relaxation flow and illuminate your entire body,

Like gentle sun-covered waves on water.

Continue breathing deeply,

Each breath you take brings you deeper and deeper into relaxation.

It also gives you and your baby a wonderful feeling of closeness.

All tension that may be lingering in your body drifts away.

You are completely relaxed now.

Imagine your baby tuning in to the calm you are now experiencing,

Floating gently along with you on these waves of relaxation.

All is well.

You are both safe now.

The image of these gentle waves can be an anchor for you,

To remind you you are safe and can tap into that same feeling of calm confidence anytime you need.

And now allow your thinking mind to take a break for a little while,

And allow your subconscious mind,

That inner intuitive part of you,

To be fully attuned right now.

That's right,

Very good.

We are going to use the power of your imagination to rehearse you and your baby's birth.

Feeling fully attuned to your body and your little one,

Picture your baby inside you now.

Imagine you and your baby's hearts silently speaking to each other.

Express love to your baby,

And feel your baby respond in kind.

Breathe together with your baby,

Sharing the air and aware that you are about to share the wonderful experience of birth together.

As you breathe,

You are sending a valuable message to your baby,

Sharing that you can work together in the birth process.

Your imagination is powerful,

And you will use it to define the type of birthing experience you will have,

Aligned with your deep hopes for this experience.

Let your imagination drift to the day of your birth as we move through this birth rehearsal.

As we go through these scenes,

You will feel physically strengthened and mentally prepared for what is to come.

Begin to imagine scenes of that exciting day when you and your baby will experience birthing.

See yourself now moving through your labor of love.

Allow your body to naturally and easily open at just the right time.

As your labor advances,

You deepen your calm.

Each surge brings you closer to birth and deeper into relaxation.

Your mind will set aside all distraction and will enter a place where you and your baby work in complete harmony in the process of birth.

You are amazed by what you see your wonderful birthing body do.

You are in awe of the process and of yourself.

Love your body for performing this beautiful birth ballet with such grace.

You are in perfect rhythm with your baby as they join in the dance.

As your baby joins,

Your body relaxes and opens,

Blossoming like a flower,

Welcoming baby.

Your baby gently dancing in its journey down and out.

In this state of relaxation,

You welcome the transformation.

Your body opens with each breath.

Feeling love with each slow downward breath.

Your body slowly flowers its fullness down to a welcoming birth path.

You sense that feeling of fullness moving down.

Your baby dancing in rhythm and in sync with you.

Now your baby coming full circle from conception to birth.

Enter in her most empowered state,

Bringing life through you.

Baby moving down,

Creating that last great sensation of feeling unlike anything your body has ever known.

And you embrace the miracle of the moment of birth.

And now you embrace your baby,

Connecting in a new way,

A celebration of life.

These visions will be imprinted in your mind,

Allowing you to have a peaceful,

Empowering birth experience.

As you await this day,

You will be more aligned,

Energized,

Confident and positive,

Becoming more ready to welcome your baby.

And now it's time to leave this birth rehearsal and return from this state of imagination to the present moment.

Take a moment to appreciate the good work you have done here and what your body will do when it's time to birth your baby.

If you are listening to this at a time where you would like to drift off to sleep,

You are welcome to do so now.

Or if you are listening at a time when you would like to be alert and awake,

Take a moment to become aware again of your breathing,

Of your body on whatever it's resting on,
