Take a deep breath in,

Deep deep breath into your nose and exhale through your mouth and just relax.

This exercise is for moments when you feel overwhelmed by triggers.

When an emotion arises and lingers for more than a few seconds,

You can be sure of one thing,

It's not about now.

An emotion in the present,

As part of your inner guidance,

Moves through you like a cloud.

A wave of sadness comes up and drifts by.

Or a surge of anger rises from deep within,

From your toes maybe,

And you know,

I am hitting a boundary here and now,

And that's okay.

It moves,

It flows,

It gives you a signal.

You act,

Speak your truth,

Feel it and it passes.

But we weren't taught this as children,

Right?

Because of trauma,

Many emotions got stuck.

They turned into blocks and the energy froze in place,

And in time.

That's why experiences in the present can get attached to something from the past.

The energy doesn't simply move through,

Instead it reveals the old block,

The old charge.

And that's actually good news.

Your trigger is pointing you to your potential,

To where something wants to come into motion.

But things only move when they are allowed to be there.

Can everything be there?

Does nothing need to be fixed or removed?

Can it be witnessed?

That's all this is about.

Recognizing what is present.

Recognizing what is present.

And the moment you do,

The moment you listen,

Acknowledge and allow,

Everything softens.

Recognizing these old frozen parts is where healing begins.

These old frozen pieces,

This energy stuck in the moment it froze,

Are what we often call our inner child.

Because the freeze happened back then,

When you were little.

It started early,

Conception,

Birth,

Infancy.

And those first seven years.

And then it kept layering.

Energy froze because it was simply too overwhelming for your little system and nervous system to process.

Trauma fragments,

It splinters,

It divides.

Your awareness fragments.

Your brain got rewired,

Lowering into a frequency of survival and fear.

And in that split,

You forget that you are love.

Restoring the frequency of love within you means letting that frozen energy flow again.

It means remembering you are love,

You are whole,

You are complete,

Everything belongs.

But it needs to be seen and heard.

That little boy or girl inside you,

Who had to do it all alone,

Wants to share their story.

With whom?

Only you.

For your survival system,

This feels very scary.

The same fear,

Shock and helplessness from back then still live in that memory.

That's why your survival brain rushes into numb or escape.

It was brilliant back then,

It kept you safe.

But now,

You are here as an adult,

Held by your higher self.

You as the adult can hold this child now.

You as the adult can now handle these feelings,

Which you couldn't then.

You can do it now.

So,

When you feel anxious,

Angry or deeply sad,

Without a clear reason in the present,

Know this,

Something old is surfacing and longs to be heard.

Don't push it away,

Don't numb it.

It will keep knocking on your door until you listen,

I can tell you from my own experience.

So,

If you have to listen at one point,

Why not now?

It will give you peace.

So take a moment,

Find a quiet space where you can be with yourself.

Make it cozy if you like,

A candle,

A blanket,

Maybe being in nature.

Whatever feels nurturing.

And when you're ready,

Ground yourself.

Notice your body on the chair or in the grass maybe.

Feel your feet on the ground.

You are here now,

As an adult.

You are safe.

Then take a few deep breaths in.

Deep,

Deep breath into your nose.

And as you exhale,

Soften your eyes.

Soften your gaze.

Turn inward.

Bring your attention to your heart.

And say to yourself,

I see and hear nothing that is unsafe.

I am safe where I am right now.

And then from your heart say,

I ask and intend to connect with the part of me that wants to speak to me now.

I want to listen.

I want to feel safe,

Loved and guided.

Held by my higher self,

I am here for this part of me.

I am open to receive its wisdom and I allow my attention to bring its energy into motion for the highest good of all.

And so it is.

Take a deep breath in.

And exhale.

And from this place,

You can invite your inner child.

See if you can ask that little boy or girl,

That version of you from the past,

To show itself to you.

And to come a little bit closer.

Ask if it will show itself to you.

Tell it it is safe.

Perhaps he or she will appear immediately.

Perhaps they linger at a distance,

Cautious.

And maybe you sense them more than you see them.

It's all okay.

Whatever happens is perfect.

Trust whatever arises.

And then say softly,

I welcome you.

It's safe to show yourself.

I am here for you.

I am listening.

Look with gentle eyes.

Soft.

Calm.

Just relax and wait.

And when he or she is ready,

Just say from your heart,

Take your time.

I have space for you now.

Thank you for showing yourself to me.

I would love to hear what you want to share.

You are welcome.

I am here.

Right here.

And I will stay.

And then listen deeply.

Let it speak to you.

Let he or she share with you how hard it was.

How lonely.

How confusing or frightening.

You don't need to fix anything.

Just listen.

Witness.

And look with soft eyes at yourself.

And say gently,

You are allowed to feel exactly how you feel.

Just stay present.

Breathe with this little boy or little girl.

There is nothing wrong here.

Only wisdom waiting to be discovered.

And whatever comes up,

It's perfect.

Even if it's just one word.

Even if it's just this connection.

And maybe you feel a shift.

A softening.

A wave of relief.

A deep exhale.

That is all that is needed.

And you can stay here.

And just have the conversation together.

Take your time.

And when it feels complete,

You can say to your inner child,

Thank you for sharing.

I am and I will be here for you.

I will keep being here for you.

And now,

You are safe with me now.

I will go about my normal day now.

And you can go play.

Whatever you like.

And whenever you need me,

You can let me know.

And I will make the time for you.

So we can reunite again.

Thank you for being here.

Take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

You can put your hands on your heart and bow your head.

Thank you for the message.

Thank you for the connection.

And you can return to this practice whenever needed.

Whenever a new feeling of fear,

Of anger from the past comes up.

Your inner child may visit often at first.

That's totally okay.

Each time you listen,

More healing flows.

And over time,

He or she will relax more and more and play more and more.

Yeah.

It will integrate and become peaceful more and more.

I can assure you that.

There is nothing more beautiful than offering yourself and every part of yourself this gift.
