Let's invite in a little more life through the breath.
Take a deeper inhale in through your nose than you usually do.
And exhale through your mouth with a gentle sigh.
Again,
Inhale,
Filling your lungs,
Opening your chest.
And exhale,
Release.
One more time,
Breathe in energy.
And breathe out heaviness.
Now let's gently bring in some movement.
If you'd like,
Roll your shoulders back and down.
Stretch your arms up overhead,
Even if just a little.
Turn your head side to side.
Notice that even the smallest movements can shift your energy.
If it feels right,
Place a hand on your heart or your chest and feel that steady rhythm of life within you.
And bring to mind one small thing you're looking forward to today.
Or if that feels hard,
Simply imagine something comforting.
A warm cup of tea,
A kind smile,
Sunlight on your skin.
Let that image or memory be a tiny spark of light.
A reminder that even in heaviness,
There are moments of ease.
