Welcome,
Dear soul.
Early spring is a time of subtle reawakening.
To anchor inward before expanding outward.
And to trust the steady guidance of your body.
Start by finding your resting position.
Perhaps lying down in Shavasana,
Arms by your side,
Palms open in a gesture of receptivity.
Close your eyes.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
And a long,
Slow exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
And a long,
Slow exhale through your mouth.
Notice your body beginning to settle,
Your breath slowing,
Your awareness softening inward.
Now let's begin a gentle body scan.
Bring attention to the crown of your head.
Sense any subtle sensations,
Maybe tingling,
Warmth,
Or stillness.
Move your awareness down to your face,
Releasing the small muscles around the eyes and jaw.
Let your awareness flow to your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your chest.
Each exhale is a quiet permission to let go.
Now bring awareness to your heart space,
The gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Notice any emotions or sensations here,
Without needing to change them.
Your body is your compass.
Each pulse,
Each breath,
Each flutter,
It's all a direction.
Ask yourself softly,
What does my body want me to know right now?
What does my body need me to know now?
Wait.
Listen.
Sense.
No need for words.
Just feel.
Perhaps a sense of warmth,
Or expansion,
Or ease.
Simply noticing what arises.
This is your inner compass,
Your inner authority,
Pointing you toward your truth.
Now deeply breathe into that feeling,
Inhaling clarity and exhaling trust.
Rest in this quiet knowing for a moment.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring small movement to your fingers and toes.
Take one more deep breath in,
And a soft exhale.
Slowly open your eyes,
And carry your body's wisdom with you into the day.
Namaste.
