Welcome.

Let's start with a deep breath in and an exhale out that releases tension,

Heaviness,

Any stuckness.

Let's begin with a deep breath in.

Let's release out.

This meditation is a journey,

A journey to connect with your inner child.

As we move through this meditation,

You will experience profound healing.

Are you ready?

I'm Denise,

And I'll be guiding you on this journey.

And to begin,

We find ourself connected to the earth and visualize or imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet.

Visualize these roots growing wide.

Visualize them growing deep.

Visualize these roots growing all the way to her core and grabbing on.

Here,

We create a sense of safety.

And in this safe space,

We begin to allow our bodies to relax.

We settle down upon the surface beneath us,

And we let go.

We soften the muscles in our body.

We soften our hearts.

We relax the shoulders,

And we close our beautiful eyes.

And find yourself in a relaxed state and connect to the breath,

Drawing the breath in gently.

And visualize or imagine yourself outside.

Imagine that you're lying back in a beautiful field.

There are wild flowers all around.

Relax back and gaze up at the clouds floating by in the blue sky.

This place is special.

You are safe here.

It feels like being home.

Stretch your arms out and breathe deeply,

Softening down onto the earth.

And as you relax here,

You hear a child's giggle nearby.

And so you turn to look to find the child.

And there they are lying next to you.

And you gaze into each other's eyes.

And you quickly realize this child is you.

This is your younger self lying next to you.

Reach your hand over and grab the hand of this child,

Your hand,

And squeeze it tightly.

And as you touch,

There is an immediate connection.

That feeling of coming home is even stronger.

And as you gaze into each other's eyes,

The child asks,

What took you so long?

You,

Your younger self,

Ask,

What took you so long?

And so you say that you're sorry,

But that you're here now,

And that you're listening.

And we ask the child,

What do you need to tell me?

And we listen.

We come back to our hearts,

And we listen.

And we ask the child,

What do you need me to know?

And we'll spend a bit of time listening,

Sensing.

And we listen with our hearts.

Maybe in this moment,

The child needs a little encouragement.

For so long,

They have been alone.

And so we squeeze their hand to let them know that we truly are here.

And that we are listening.

And you may ask again,

What do you need to tell me?

What do you need me to know?

And pull this child close,

And hold them tight.

Help them to feel safe.

Allow them to feel held.

Let them know that you are here,

And you are listening.

Let them know that they are loved.

And you do this through your heart.

You send that love out to them.

Feel it radiating out of your heart,

And connecting to theirs.

And we'll rest here for a moment,

Holding on to each other.

Radiating out love.

Healing.

Listening.

And when you are ready,

Let them go.

And tell this child that you will always be here.

And that you are listening.

And you may hug them,

Or squeeze them once again.

You may kiss them.

And let them know that you will be back.

And we'll bring our awareness back into our body.

Feeling it as it presses against the surface beneath you.

Bring your awareness back to the feet.

The roots that are growing deep to the earth's core.

And begin to pull those roots back up into the soles of your feet.

And as you pull these roots up,

You take with them a bit of earth wisdom.

And bring your awareness back to your breath.

And bring your awareness back to this present moment.

And take a moment to reflect on what it was your inner child needed you to hear.

And this might be a perfect time to journal.

To contemplate the messages that were sent to you.

If during this meditation,

There were no messages,

Come back again.

Come back as often as you need to,

To connect with your inner child.

To be heard.

To be held.

To be loved.

Until we meet again.

Namaste.
