This meditation has been designed to help you reconnect with your inner child.
I invite you to find yourself a comfortable position and if it is safe for you to do so,
Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Allowing your chest to expand fully.
As you exhale,
Consciously release any tension or stress from your body.
Bring your awareness to the present moment,
Allowing yourself to fully arrive here and now.
To connect with your inner child,
We need to create a safe space for them to come to.
So please visualize yourself in a safe and nurturing space,
Surrounded by warm,
Protective,
Divine light.
And then when you are ready,
Imagine your inner child,
Your younger self,
Standing before you.
Perhaps they are looking for comfort and reassurance.
Perhaps they are just observing you and that's okay.
As you are connecting with your inner child,
Offer them words of love,
Support and understanding.
You can say something like,
You are safe,
My dear one.
You are loved and you are not alone anymore.
Thank you for coming.
I'm here for you,
Always,
No matter what challenges arise.
You are strong and resilient,
Capable of navigating any emotions or triggers that may come your way.
And I am here to support you.
You are worthy of love and belonging,
Just as you are.
You do not need to prove anything to anyone.
I am here for you.
I am not going to abandon you.
As you are looking at your inner child,
Or even hugging them if they are ready,
Feel the love and compassion radiating from your heart center,
Enveloping your inner child in a warm embrace.
Allow any emotions or sensations that arise to be acknowledged and embraced with tenderness and care.
With each breath,
Affirm to yourself and your inner child,
I am enough just as I am.
I trust myself to honor my boundaries and prioritize my well-being.
I am free to be authentically myself.
I embrace my emotions with understanding and without judgment.
I know I am worthy of love,
Joy,
And peace,
Regardless of internal or external circumstances.
Now give yourself permission for these affirmations to sink deeply into your being,
Anchoring you in a sense of inner peace and empowerment.
Know that you carry this love and strength within you,
Ready to support your inner child whenever they need it most.
Take a few moments to express gratitude for yourself and for your inner child,
Acknowledging the courage and resilience it takes for your inner child to connect with you.
Know that you are not alone on this journey,
And that you have the power to create a sense of safety and peace within.
I invite you to stay with your inner child for as long as you need to,
And if you can,
After this meditation,
Please journal anything that your inner child have said or have felt,
And please come back to this meditation as often as it's needed.
