Take a slow breath in and let it exhale gently.
Allow your body to soften,
Your shoulders to melt,
Your jaw to loosen,
And your heart to open just a little.
At this moment,
There is nothing to do and nowhere to be,
Just you and the quiet truth of your own being.
Feel the warmth,
Feel the warmth,
Feel the life beneath your palms,
Feel the small steady pulse that tells you,
You are here,
You are safe,
You are held.
Breathe into that safety,
Let every exhale release a layer of tension,
A layer of guarding,
A layer of old story.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a soft warm light rising from deep within your heart,
The light of the Divine Mother,
Gentle,
Loving,
Patient,
The part of the Universe that knows only love.
Let this light surround you,
Let it wrap your heart the way a loving mother wraps a child,
With tenderness,
With deep acceptance,
With the softness you always deserved.
Now imagine your inner child standing before you,
Feel into their energies,
Look into their eyes,
They don't want to be perfect anymore,
Just real,
Just honest,
Just needing warmth and acceptance.
Look at them with the eyes of love,
Notice what they carry,
The longing,
The fear,
The need for comfort that was once unmet,
You can tell them,
I see you now,
I hear you now,
You never had to be so brave alone.
With your breath,
Send compassion towards your inner child,
Send compassion towards your mother and her mother,
And all the women who carried their pain,
Because no one taught them how to be held in safety.
With this practice,
You are not excusing the hurt,
You are freeing yourself from it,
Forgiving completely.
Say to yourself,
As you are holding lovingly your inner child,
We choose to let go,
We choose to soften,
We choose to heal.
Now imagine pulling your inner child a little bit closer to your chest,
Hold them with love that is unconditional,
Steady and warm.
Tell them,
You belong here,
You're enough,
You're worthy of tenderness,
I will protect you,
I will love you,
I will never abandon you again.
Let your heart expand,
As you feel yourself becoming the mother you always needed,
Gentle,
Strong,
Soft,
Loving,
Nurturing whole.
Now,
Take a deep breath in,
And feel how your chest feels a little lighter,
Your belly a little softer,
Your whole being a little more grounded.
You're healing not just yourself,
But your lineage as well,
You're breaking patterns,
And with every breath of compassion,
You choose love for yourself,
And for all the women,
Mothers,
Grandmothers who came before you,
And who come after you.
Allow your heart to expand,
And gratitude to fill you,
Gratitude for your courage,
Your tenderness,
And your willingness to return home to yourself,
Place both hands on your heart,
Feel the warmth,
Steadiness,
The love that exists here,
It's your love,
The divine mother's love,
The love that has always held you,
Even when you forgot it was there.
Set yourself and your inner child,
We are safe,
We are loved,
We are at home.
Stay there for as long as you need to.
