Many people, especially women, suffer from eating disorders that are directly linked to Body Dysmorphia. In this short meditation, we'll explore gratitude and love for our bodies. Cultivating self-love, and more compassion for our body, mind, and soul without judgment or fear can dramatically reduce the symptoms of negative body image. I hope this meditation helps.

We're gonna breathe in together.

Breathe in all the way up and hold for a second and breathe out with a sigh.

Breathe out,

Down,

Down and again breathe in all the way to the top.

Breathe in,

Hold for a second and breathe out with a sigh all the way down.

Empty,

Empty,

Empty and breathe normally.

This meditation is designed to remind our body that we love it.

Our body is very forgiving and no matter how long and how many times we were critical towards it,

Once we come back to it with love it will give us back 10 times more.

So don't worry if you have been suffering from body dysmorphia,

Eating disorder,

Anorexia,

You can always come back to your body.

Your body welcomes you and loves you.

See if you can relax before we begin our meditation.

The music will stop and let's remind ourselves that this body is the only body we have.

This is our church,

Our vessel.

There is no other body we're gonna have in this reality.

Now as the music starts again,

Let's start with our head and our eyes that are enabling us to see all that life and world and nature has to offer.

Thank you eyes.

And our ears that are enabling us to hear the birds and the ocean and music and more.

Thank you ears.

And our mouth and teeth so we can taste different flavours.

And the nose so we can breathe and smell.

How precious.

Thank you.

And our beautiful arms and hands that are making us cups of tea in the morning and coffee.

And the brushing our hair and dressing us up.

Thank you.

How about our legs?

Beautiful legs that are taking us for walks,

For run,

Horse riding,

Lessons,

Maybe cycling.

How precious it is to be able to walk in nature.

Thank you legs.

Thank you toes for keeping us balanced.

And thank you fingers for holding pens so we can write.

And thank you a heart for beating for us and never giving up on us.

Thank you our back and front and tummy and neck and hair.

Thank you for making us whole and thank you to our skin that's keeping all our organs together.

And our bones that are keeping us upright.

How joyful it is to have this body.

Thank you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

Thank you.

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

I love you.

With this gratitude,

I'm ending this meditation.

But you can stay here as much for as long as you like.

Thank you.

Short and sweet reminder for all who have struggled with body dysmorphia, to love our body and all of the amazing things it does ❤️ I love that it ends with the ancient Hawaiian prayer - “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.” Dedicating that prayer to my body from now until infinity 🙏 Thank you Ana 💕💕💕
