Welcome to this guided meditation for the root chakra.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seated position,
Either on a chair with your feet flat on the ground or seated on the floor with your legs crossed.
And as you settle in,
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Feeling it fill your belly and allowing your body to relax as you exhale.
And continue to focus on your breath,
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest with each inhale and exhale.
And as your breath returns to its normal rhythm,
I invite you to imagine roots extending from the base of your spine,
Reaching deep,
Deep,
Deep into the earth.
Feel these bright red roots grounding you and connecting you to the earth's energy.
Visualize a red glowing ball of energy right at the base of your spine.
This is your root chakra.
See it spinning slowly,
Radiating warmth and stability throughout your body.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Either silently or out loud,
Repeat the mantra LAM.
As you repeat it,
Feel the vibration of the sound grounding you further into the earth.
As you continue to repeat this mantra LAM,
Allow the red energy at the base of your spine to expand,
Filling your lower body with a sense of safety,
Security and stability.
As you continue repeating the mantra LAM,
If you notice any tension or discomfort in your body,
Direct the red energy towards that area,
Allowing it to dissolve and release any blockages.
Trust that you are supported and grounded,
Safe in your body and connected to the earth.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Feeling the connection between your body and your earth,
Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the room.
Wiggle your fingers and your toes,
And when you are ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
