Hi,
My name is Dia.
I'd like to welcome you to this sleep meditation.
Thank you for being here.
I'm honored to guide you along this evening.
So wherever you're at,
Whatever time it is for you,
Begin to create a warm,
Comfortable space for you to begin to release your day.
So move around,
Shift your pillows around if you're lying down,
Shift your body around,
Start to nestle in and let your body find its natural center here.
Letting go of your day,
Letting go of all the doing,
Letting go of all that transpired today.
Just putting that aside,
Knowing that you can always pick those thoughts up tomorrow,
But for now,
The invitation is to just put them on hold.
And then begin to set an intention here for your practice.
So it could be a very simple I am statement,
Such as,
I am at peace.
I'm resting.
I'm letting go.
See if something resonates with you or you create your own I am statement.
And now let this intention be planted deep within,
Knowing that the darkness of rest is exactly the soil it needs to bloom.
And then repeat your intention three times to yourself.
I am letting it settle into your heart like a seed into the soft earth.
And then take a deep breath and exhale.
Bring your attention up to the crown of your head and begin to release any worrying thoughts as you soften the lines on your forehead,
Widen the space between your eyebrows.
Releasing any tension in your temple and your jaw and maybe picking up your head and letting it drop back down heavily,
Letting the mattress catch you.
And then bring your awareness down to your arms.
Maybe bringing your hands into a fist and tightening your hands and your arms and then just releasing and letting them drop back down.
And then moving down into your hips and your legs and perhaps doing the same thing.
Maybe lifting them slightly and tightening,
Tightening,
Tightening and then letting them go.
Releasing them down to the mattress.
Just beginning to feel the weight of the world releasing from your shoulders,
From your mind,
From your heart.
Knowing that you can just let go of any tension that you're holding in any way and on any level.
Allowing yourself to completely let go of everything.
Letting go of this world and your investment into this world and whatever happens.
Just for this time allow yourself to be free of this world and all the demands that it places on you.
Allow yourself to fall out of the world outside of time and space.
Letting go of all the doing of any kind whatsoever.
And whatever arises in your experience in this moment,
That too you can let go.
And do not become entangled in whatever thoughts arise.
And I'm going to offer you some affirmations to lead you deeper into rest and sleep.
You can repeat it or just let my words wash over you.
I'm filled with divine healing light.
I'm whole.
I'm filled with wisdom and intuition.
I am filled with peace and contentment.
And now my voice will become softer as the meditation continues and you will be left with only the music playing.
Let this lullaby lead you into a deep restful state of sleep.
So that you can awake in the morning feeling at your best.
You can trust your inner guidance.
Your inner wisdom.
Be at peace.
Be at peace.
All is good.
You are being looked after.
You are loved.
It's safe to shed all that no longer serves you.
Rest well dear one.
All is well.
All is well.
All is well.
I thought the earth remembered me.
She took me back so tenderly.
Arranging her dark skirts.
Her pockets full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before.
A stone on the riverbed.
Nothing between me and the white fires of the stars but my thoughts.
And they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me and the insects and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell as if in water grappling with a luminous dune.
By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times.
