Hi there,
Welcome to this short 10-minute napping meditation.
And I don't know about you,
But sometimes when I go to nap in the middle of the day or afternoon,
I feel a little bit guilty.
So allow yourself this space and this time just for a few minutes to unplug,
Regenerate your energy,
And rest.
Go ahead and close your eyes if you haven't yet.
Try slowing your breathing down by about 20,
Maybe 30 percent.
As you do that,
You might notice your muscles starting to relax and your body starting to adjust.
And before we get deep into a nap,
Let's start with a visualization.
So I'd like you to imagine in your mind's eye that you're looking at a volume knob,
Just like one you'd see on a stereo.
And this volume knob regulates your body's energy.
So if you've been doing a lot today,
Thinking a lot,
Feeling a lot,
The volume might be kind of high.
So right now with me in this nap space,
Go ahead and turn it down as much as it wants to go down.
And getting it below 20 percent or even 10 percent might be ideal.
But turn it down to wherever it's ready to go.
And as you do that,
Allow your body to start relaxing.
It's a bit like putting the car in neutral.
It's still on,
But it's humming.
And as you turn the volume on your body down,
And as your breathing slows down,
Let yourself just drift off into the deep silence,
Into the deep stillness inside your body.
And I'm going to talk less and less as we move along here and allow you to start to really let go into sleep.
And for right now,
You can leave the day,
Leave all of your tasks behind you,
And just set yourself to the rest mode.
You don't need to respond to any thoughts or try and control any emotions.
Let yourself just feel that deep,
Relaxing stillness inside.
Let yourself melt into the ocean of sleep,
Noticing every muscle in your body,
Relaxing a bit deeper.
As your body relaxes,
Your mind relaxes.
And you can allow your breath to become slow,
Rhythmic,
And deep.
And I'll say that again.
You can let your breath become slow,
Rhythmic,
And deep.
Allow yourself to feel gravity pulling your body down and just surrendering to it.
As you fall asleep,
Your energy is recharging.
Your body is recharging and you're getting the rest that you need.
You can slow your breath down even just a little bit more.
Let the ocean of sleep nurture you.
Allow your consciousness to float in that deep stillness.
And then slowly begin to bring your awareness back into your body.
Take a few deep breaths.
When you're ready,
You can move your fingers and your toes.
You can sway side to side just a little.
Have gratitude for this nap,
Even if it was a short rest.
And then you could begin to stretch your body and open your eyes.
Thank you so much for napping with me.
I hope you feel recharged and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
And I'll see you next time.
Enjoy yourself.
