Find yourself in a comfortable space where you can fully relax and let go.
Allow your breath to be your guide as you open your heart to the child within.
This inner child meditation is part of a powerful series to help you reconnect and heal your inner child.
Each meditation in this series focuses on different aspects of inner child work.
Identifying and healing emotional wounds,
Rediscovering joy,
Offering forgiveness and reclaiming your inner strength.
By nurturing your inner child,
You create a foundation of self-love,
Confidence and emotional freedom.
If or when emotions come up,
Just let them flow,
Only yourself and your inner child.
You can also push pause or come back tomorrow if you feel overwhelmed.
Take a moment now to settle in,
Knowing that this is a safe place for you to heal and grow.
Let's begin.
Take a deep breath in and slowly release it out.
Another deep breath in and let it go.
Now allow your breath to settle into a natural rhythm of slow deep breaths in and out of your body.
Today you'll reconnect with the strength and power that has always lived within you.
Today you'll be guided to reclaim your confidence,
Self-worth and inner strength by connecting with your inner child.
Allow yourself to open to this process of deep healing and empowerment.
Allow your body to soften.
As you breathe your deep breaths,
Relax your shoulders.
Let your jaw release.
Feel the weight of your body resting comfortably against the surface beneath you.
With each breath,
Feel yourself becoming more grounded.
With each breath,
More present.
With each breath,
Relaxing more at ease.
Now bring your awareness to your heart center.
Feel the steady rise and fall of your breath.
Imagine a soft golden light forming at the center of your chest.
This is the light of your inner strength,
Your confidence,
Your truth.
With each inhale,
Feel this golden light growing stronger within.
With each exhale,
Feel it expanding through your whole body.
Down through to your arms,
Through to your hands,
Into your legs and up through the crown of your head.
Just let this light fill you with a sense of calm and strength.
Now I invite you to visualize your younger self standing before you.
See your inner child as clearly as possible.
Maybe they are five or six years old.
Or maybe younger or older than this.
Just notice how they look.
Notice the expression on their face.
Do they look happy?
Or do they look unsure or hesitant of the process?
Whatever you see is perfect.
Now slowly walk towards your inner child.
Kneel down so that you are at eye level with them.
Look into their eyes and gently say,
I see you.
You are safe with me.
I am here for you now.
Just notice how they respond.
Perhaps they smile or move towards you.
Or maybe they are hesitant or look away.
Whatever arises,
Hold it with compassion and love.
This is a sacred moment of reconnection.
Ask your inner child,
What made you feel small?
What made you feel powerless?
Just let the answers naturally arise.
You may remember a moment when you felt ignored or overlooked.
Perhaps at home or at school.
You may remember a time when you felt helpless.
Or a time when you were unable to express yourself.
Or perhaps you feel the weight of limiting beliefs.
That you are not enough.
Not strong enough.
Not worthy enough.
Whatever surfaces,
Allow it to be seen without judgement.
Hold it gently in your awareness.
Now place your hand over your heart and say to your inner child,
I am sorry you felt that way.
I am sorry you were made to feel small.
You didn't deserve to feel powerless.
You are enough,
Exactly as you are.
Feel the warmth of your golden light expanding through your chest.
Now reach out your hand to your inner child and say,
It's time to take back your power.
It's time to remember how strong you are.
See your inner child taking your hand.
As they do,
Feel a surge of energy flowing between you.
A strong golden light passing from your heart to theirs and theirs to yours.
See their posture straightening.
See their eyes becoming brighter.
Their expression softening with strength and confidence.
Now guide them to stand tall as you stand tall with them.
Say to them,
You are strong.
You have always been strong.
You have the power to express yourself.
You have the right to take up space.
Your voice matters.
Feel the golden light around you both growing brighter.
See your inner child glowing with confidence,
Standing tall and strong.
Let them know you don't have to hold on to fear anymore.
You don't have to play small anymore.
You are safe to be seen and heard.
You are powerful.
Now imagine handing them a golden key.
This key represents the power and strength that has always belonged to them.
Watch them take it with confidence.
See their face light up as they receive it.
Now say to them,
It is safe to trust yourself.
You are capable.
You are strong.
You are whole.
You are enough.
Notice how your inner child's energy shifts.
Their shoulders are back.
Their chest is lifted.
Their eyes are bright.
They are standing tall,
Confident and powerful.
Now gently kneel down and wrap your inner child into your arms.
Hold them close.
Feel the warmth of their body resting against you.
Feel the strength of their heartbeat matching yours.
And whisper to them,
You are safe with me.
I believe in you.
You are free to express yourself.
You are free to live fully.
Now slowly release the embrace and see your inner child standing tall before you.
See them glowing with confidence.
See them smiling with strength.
As you step away,
You say to them,
I will always be with you.
You are never alone.
Your strength will always be with you.
Now you see your inner child turning towards the path of the golden light.
Watch them walking towards it,
Confident,
Free and strong.
Feel the golden light merging back into your heart as they step in.
Feel the strength and confidence becoming part of you,
Because it always was.
Take a deep breath in and slowly release it out.
Feel the warmth of your inner power resting within you.
Feel the strength of your breath.
Feel the steadiness of your heart.
Now slowly bring your awareness back into your body.
Notice the surface beneath you.
Feel the warmth of your hands.
And the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Wiggle your fingers.
Wiggle your toes.
Feel the strength within you.
You are grounded.
You are whole.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to sit with the feeling of strength and confidence now flowing through you.
Know that you are strong.
Know that you are enough.
Know you are free to stand tall and express yourself fully.
This strength belongs to you.
And it always has.
