Inner Child No.15 Healing Social Wounds from School Some of the deepest wounds we carry began on the school playground — moments of exclusion, rejection, or feeling like we didn’t belong. This meditation is a loving space to return to those memories and offer your younger self the support, comfort, and connection they needed but may not have received. Through breath, visualization, and powerful affirmations, you’ll hold space for the inner child who sat alone, who was picked last, who tried to fit in but never felt quite accepted. You’ll remind them — and yourself — that they are lovable, worthy, and more than enough just as they are. This practice gently rewrites the story of not belonging into one of deep belonging, self-acceptance, and inner safety.

Hi,

Frankie here.

Welcome beautiful soul to this inner child meditation,

Healing social wounds from school.

This is part of a powerful series I've designed to help you reconnect and heal your inner child.

Each meditation in this series focuses on a different aspect of inner child work.

From healing emotional wounds to rediscovering joy,

Offering forgiveness,

And reclaiming your inner strength.

By nurturing your inner child,

You create a foundation of self-love,

Confidence,

And emotional freedom.

During these meditations,

If or when emotions come up,

Just let them flow and hug yourself and your inner child.

You can also push pause or come back tomorrow to be with you.

Take a moment to settle in.

Bring in the knowing that this is a safe space for you to heal,

Grow,

And let go.

Take a deep breath in and slowly release it.

One more,

Breathe in deeply and let it go.

Feel your breath beginning to settle into a slow,

Steady,

Easy rhythm.

Let your body soften.

Feel your shoulders relaxing,

Your jaw releasing.

Let your hands rest gently by your side.

Feel the muscles in your face softening.

Let your belly relax.

With each breath,

Feel yourself becoming more supported.

Feel yourself becoming more grounded and at ease.

Now bring your awareness to your heart center.

Feel the soft rise and fall of your chest.

Begin to imagine a soft golden light forming in your heart.

This light is warm,

Soothing,

And calm.

The energy of unconditional love.

The energy of inner peace.

With each inhale,

Feel this golden light growing stronger.

With each exhale,

Feel it spreading through your body,

Down your arms,

Through your hands,

All the way into your feet and legs,

And all the way up through the crown of your head.

Let this light surround you,

Filling you with comfort and safety.

Now I invite you to gently begin to visualize your inner child standing before you.

See them as a school-aged child,

Maybe five,

Six,

Or seven years old.

Perhaps a little younger or older,

Whatever age comes to mind.

Notice how they look.

Are they sitting alone?

Are they standing off to the side watching others play?

Are they trying to speak,

But no one is listening?

Just notice the expression on their face.

Do they look sad?

Do they look left out or embarrassed?

Slowly walk towards them.

Kneel down so that you are at eye level with your inner child.

Say softly to them,

I see you.

I'm here with you.

You are safe with me.

Just notice how they respond.

They may hesitate or look away.

Or perhaps they've been waiting for you and reach out right away.

Whatever arises is perfect.

Now ask your inner child,

When did you feel left out?

When did you feel like you didn't belong?

When did you feel like no one wanted to sit with you or talk to you?

Let any emotions or feelings naturally arise.

You may remember a moment when they were sitting alone at lunch.

You may remember them standing at the edge of the playground,

Watching other children play,

But feeling too scared to join.

You may feel the sting of rejection.

You may feel the ache of loneliness.

Whatever arises for you,

Just allow it to be seen.

Hold space for it.

If you feel sadness or heaviness in your chest,

Breathe deep,

Slow breaths and breathe through it.

If you feel a lump in your throat,

Let it rise.

You are safe now.

Now say to your inner child,

I'm sorry you felt left out.

I'm sorry you were made to feel like you didn't belong.

You didn't deserve to feel that way.

You are not alone anymore.

Feel the golden light in your heart.

It's beginning to grow brighter.

Feel it flowing towards your inner child,

Surrounding them with warmth and comfort.

See and feel their shoulders softening.

See the tension in their face begin to fade.

Now gently take their hand and say,

You are enough.

You are lovable exactly as you are.

You don't have to change to fit in.

You are already perfect.

See your inner child starting to breathe more easily.

See their eyes softening.

See the weight of rejection beginning to lift from their small body.

Now imagine sitting down next to them in the playground or at a school desk.

Sit with them.

Let them feel your presence.

Say to them,

You are not alone anymore.

You are wanted.

You belong.

You are safe with me.

Now ask your inner child,

What would you have needed to hear back then?

What would have made you feel safe?

Let the answers naturally arise.

Maybe they needed someone to invite them to play.

Maybe they needed someone to sit with them.

At lunch.

Maybe they needed someone to stand up for them when they were feeling teased or ignored.

Now imagine yourself stepping into that memory.

See yourself sitting next to them.

See yourself standing up for them.

See yourself telling them you are wanted and loved.

See them beginning to smile now.

See them beginning to feel safe.

Now place one or both hands over your heart and say,

It's okay,

You don't need to fit in.

You are whole exactly as you are.

You don't need to change to be loved.

You don't need to change to be loved.

You don't need to change to belong.

See your inner child smiling.

See their posture straightening.

See their heart opening.

Feel the golden light surrounding both of you.

Sealing in warmth,

Safety and love.

Now gather your inner child into your arms.

Hold them close.

Let them feel the steady beat of your heart.

Let them feel the warmth of your breath.

Whisper to them,

You are wanted.

You are enough.

You are safe with me.

Now gently release the embrace and see your inner child standing before you.

Glowing with light and peace.

Let them know you don't have to try anymore.

You don't need to change.

You are already whole.

See your inner child beginning to merge with the golden light.

Not disappearing,

But becoming part of you.

Feel their strength.

Feel their confidence.

Feel their ease returning to you.

Feel it anchoring into your heart.

Take a deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Release it out.

Feel the peace of knowing that you are enough.

Feel the strength of knowing you are lovable.

You are whole.

Now gently begin to bring your awareness back into your body.

Feel the surface beneath you.

Feel the softness of your breath.

Moving in and out of your body.

Feel the warmth of your hands and feet.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes.

Sit with this feeling of lightness and peace.

Know that you are no longer defined by the past.

You are loved.

You are wanted.

You belong.

The invitation now is for you to give yourself a hug.

Send some more love to you and your inner child.

Blessings,

Blessings,

Blessings.

Giving love to yourself.

Self-love is one of the most powerful things we can do.

And you can return to this meditation anytime you like.

To feel this connection with your inner child.

Blessings to you,

Dear soul,

On your journey here on planet Earth.

Namaste.
