Poem: Tantra

This poem came from my study of the Radiance Sutras as part of my 500-hour meditation teacher training. In Sanskrit, one of the meanings of tantra is to weave. In this poem, I explore how we think everything is separate, but we're truly one woven tapestry of experience.

Use it in reflection, in journaling or contemplative practice, or simply enjoy the imagery.

Tantra, A Poem When do threads become a cloth? How amusing that we think we're separate, Different, From Source and everything else. How many lies do we tell ourselves, Others, Over the course of this infinitely finite human lifetime, To convince others, Ourselves, That we are not the same as other bodies? Whether those bodies be celestial, Cellular, Human, Animal, Plant, Insect, Flower, Fish, Ocean, Planet, Or galaxy, We, I, You, They, Were all created by the One who created all, With the same thread, The same sparkling, Joyous, Nebulous, Infinite energy, Simply in differing proportions, Sizes, And placed in divergent planes, Stratas, Worlds, Depths. Yet, We are all earth, Returning to earth, Atoms, Returning to atoms, Cells, Returning to cells, Stardust, Returning to star, Dust, Because that is all we are, Have been, And ever will be.
