Hi friends,
It's Beth.
Welcome to this 6 minute morning grounding meditation practice.
Waking up from a restful sleep and carrying that serenity into our day is a loving gift that we can give to ourselves.
Taking time to ground ourselves in the energy of what each morning brings us can help that transition flow with a deeper sense of ease.
As we move into a morning grounding practice,
Settle into a comfortable space and consider what grounding means to you.
Is grounding being aware of your body,
Your surroundings,
And your energy at a particular place and time?
Is grounding a physical,
Sensory,
Or energetic act or movement?
Could it be a combination of both of these,
Or some other meaning that your intuition allows you to glimpse?
There is no right or wrong,
There simply is the truth of what you consider to be grounding,
So that you can sense it when it exists for you,
And seek it within when it does not.
For this morning practice,
I invite you to consider your felt sense and your intuitive definition of what it means to be grounded.
Where do you feel grounded in your body this morning?
Does your mind also feel grounded in this space?
If so,
What does grounding feel like to you?
Where in the body or stream of thoughts do you notice sensations of being grounded or having deep calm?
For the next minute of your practice,
Rest here,
In the spaces where you feel grounded and connected to a deep sense of self,
A deep knowing of what it is to be grounded.
Staying in touch with those sensations and the intuition of what grounding means to you,
And how it feels in the body and the mind,
Begin to bring your awareness into the immediate space around you,
Relishing the sense of being grounded to the earth,
To this space,
To this moment,
And to this day,
And give gratitude for all these things as you begin the rest of your day.
