Welcome to Friday.
Friday has long been associated with love,
Pleasure,
And connection.
Named after Freya,
The Norse goddess of love and beauty,
It carries an energy of celebration,
Fulfillment,
And transition.
In many cultures,
Friday marks the shift from work to rest.
To get started,
Settle in.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes if you feel okay,
And take a deep breath in through your nose,
Slowly exhaling through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Filling your lungs,
And exhale,
Allowing any tension to soften.
With each breath,
Imagine your body becoming lighter,
As if you're shedding the heaviness of the past week.
Let's bring our awareness to the week behind you.
What moments stand out?
What challenges did you navigate?
What did you accomplish,
Even if it felt insignificant at the time?
Most of us have a hard time giving ourselves credit for what we've done.
So take a moment to think about what stands out,
What challenges you navigated,
And what small victories you had.
With your next breath in,
Silently say to yourself,
I acknowledge that I have overcome and I acknowledge all that I have carried this week.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing any lingering stress,
Pressure,
Or expectations that no longer serve you.
Feel the weight lifting,
Making space for ease and lightness.
Whether this week was productive or challenging,
Easy or overwhelming,
You showed up.
Take a moment to honor yourself for the effort that you put in.
Silently repeat,
I am proud of myself for showing up this week.
I have done enough.
I am enough.
Allow these words to settle into your body like a warm,
Gentle embrace.
Now shift your focus to the present moment.
Imagine a soft,
Golden light radiating from your heart.
This light represents joy,
Gratitude,
And the energy of celebration.
With each inhale,
Feel this light expanding,
Filling your entire being with warmth and happiness.
With each exhale,
Let go of stress,
Tension,
And anything holding you back from fully enjoying this moment.
As you breathe,
Think of one thing you can do today just for you,
Something simple that brings you joy.
It could be this moment of stillness,
Connecting with a loved one,
Enjoying a favorite meal,
Or simply allowing yourself to rest.
One more deep breath in and exhale fully.
As you bring your awareness back to your surroundings,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Roll your shoulders,
And slowly open your eyes if they were closed.
You have done enough.
You are enough.
And you deserve to celebrate yourself.
