With one hand on the heart and one on the belly, you are invited to choose an energy you wish to embody and carry it forward with clarity and trust. This is a simple morning practice to awaken awareness, ground the body, and begin the day on purpose.

Welcome to your meditation.

Start by closing your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose as you expand your lungs.

And now exhale softly through your mouth.

Feel the weight of sleep dissolve as you bring your awareness into this moment.

As the first light of the day touches the earth,

Imagine that same light filling your body.

See it rising from the horizon within you,

Illuminating every cell.

Remember that this is a new day,

And with that comes a blank canvas.

With each inhale,

See if you can breathe in more possibility.

And with each exhale,

Release any hesitation that you may have of the day ahead.

Now place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.

Feel the steady rhythm of your breath.

And ask yourself,

What energy do you want to embody today?

Whisper it to yourself.

Perhaps it's confidence,

Trust,

Joy,

Ease.

And perhaps,

Whisper it to yourself.

Throughout your day,

See if you can keep coming back to this energy and let this energy move through you as you picture yourself stepping into your day with clarity,

Moving with purpose,

All led by an inner knowing that you are exactly where you need to be.

Take a deep breath in as you let it expand into your chest,

Into your spine,

Into your fingertips,

And hold for a moment.

Then release the breath,

Grounding into your body,

Fully present.

Do that again.

Take a deep breath in,

Let it expand into your chest,

Your spine,

Your fingertips.

Hold at the top for a moment.

And release as you ground into your body,

Fully present.

And one more time.

Take a deep breath in.

Hold right there at the top.

And then go ahead and release as you exhale,

Exhale,

Exhale.

And now,

In a moment,

As you open your eyes,

I invite you to feel the energy of the first light within you.

You are awake.

You are mindful.

You are aware.

You are ready.

You are on purpose.

And I hope that you move forward with trust into the first light of your morning.
