In this meditation, we ground ourselves to feel the earth and proceed to hold gratitude, love, peace, happiness, healing, and health in the palms of our hands. We integrate these positive attributes and repeat affirmations. We then work to integrate these affirmations and send them to the hurting or painful part of our body to help heal this area. We share gratitude for our bodies and all it does for us, including telling us when something is wrong by showing us pain.

Hello and welcome to this pain relieving and grounding meditation.

Find yourself getting comfortable in whatever place and position feels good for you.

Maybe it's seated on a chair,

Or maybe it's lying down somewhere comfortable.

There's no right or wrong,

Just finding the place that feels good for you.

And as we begin,

We're going to allow ourselves to just surrender to this practice.

Just giving ourselves the best chance we can to feel the benefits.

And thanking ourselves for being here and for getting here.

And let's start by taking two deep breaths.

We're going to start our awareness down at our feet,

Wherever our feet may be.

If it's possible to put our feet flat on the ground,

You may do so.

Just getting familiar with what it feels like for your feet to be on the ground.

Maybe putting some pressure on your heels.

Putting more weight into your toes.

Maybe into the sides of your feet,

Moving side to side.

Just feeling what you feel as your feet are on the ground.

Can you feel your feet touching the ground?

Can you feel yourself putting weight into different parts of your feet?

And what about your toes?

Can you lift any of your toes or put pressure on any one of your toes into the ground?

Just observing.

Now I'd like you to bring some awareness with wherever your weight is.

Just sinking deeper into the surface that you're on if you're seated.

Just letting your body feel heavy in the seat.

Or feeling flat,

Just allowing your whole body to sink deeper and deeper into the ground.

Wherever the majority of your weight is,

Just letting it feel heavy.

Feeling that base of support beneath you.

Just allowing yourself to sink deeper and deeper.

Feeling that base of support.

Feeling so supported.

In fact,

Let's take a couple deep breaths.

And with every breath out,

Just imagine your weight getting heavier into that base of support.

Just feeling more and more supported with every breath out.

Just feeling how it feels to be on this surface.

If you're seated,

Maybe switching from either side.

Lifting your hips,

Just moving back and forth.

Just feeling what it feels like.

If you're laying down,

Maybe experimenting with body position.

Feeling your body and different parts touching the ground.

Just feeling so supported.

Just knowing you can put your full weight here and just trusting gravity to catch you and hold you.

Just enjoying how it feels to feel supported here.

And next,

I'd like you to take your hands.

Maybe place them together or somewhere on your knees or on the ground.

Just finding a place for them to rest where they're touching something.

Maybe feeling what it feels like to press your palms into the surface.

The sides of your hands.

Just pressing in and lifting off.

And maybe we can do a bit of experimenting with the fingers.

With your pinkies,

Pressing them in.

And your ring finger.

Then your middle finger.

And your pointing finger.

And your thumb.

Just pressing into the surface that it's touching.

And then lifting off.

Maybe you want to wiggle your fingers around a bit.

Maybe it's like you're playing the piano with your fingers and just feeling how it feels for them to touch the surface.

Maybe it's light.

Maybe it's heavy.

Maybe it's fast.

Maybe it's slow.

Just feeling how it feels to move your fingers.

Maybe a sound comes with it.

Maybe it makes you feel a certain type of way.

Just slowing down now.

And next I'd like you to put your hands together as if you're holding something in your hands,

Making a bowl with your hands.

And next,

I'd like you to think about,

Pretend or imagine,

That in this bowl in your hands is something that makes you truly,

Deeply,

Unapologetically happy.

Or peaceful.

Or whatever it is you desire to feel.

Just allowing those feelings and emotions to come rushing into your hands.

Whatever it is that you desire to feel.

Maybe there's a colour that's associated with it.

Maybe there's something else associated with whatever it is you desire to feel.

Just imagining whatever it is flowing into your hands,

Into your bowl that you've created in your hands.

Just feel it rushing there.

Maybe it's filling up like a bowl of cereal.

Maybe it's flowing very quickly like a river.

Maybe something else comes to mind with how this feeling is filling in your hands.

You might even feel your hands getting heavier and heavier as it fills and fills and fills with the happiness and bliss and peace,

Positivity.

Whatever it is you desire.

Feeling it get heavier and heavier as it fills and fills.

So heavy that your hands might be falling and falling.

Maybe if there's colours associated,

The colours are getting brighter.

Maybe you feel your hands being overflowed.

Maybe there's a certain scenario that comes with this desire.

I'm not quite sure,

But whatever happens for you,

Just letting it happen.

Whatever thoughts and imaginations come about,

Just letting them.

You may notice that you're starting to feel a little bit happier and more peaceful yourself.

Just enjoying how it feels.

Remembering times when you felt this way.

Remembering times when you helped other people feel this way.

Being grateful for what you are and for what you have.

Repeat after me.

I'm grateful for the body that I live in.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to live in my body.

I'm grateful to learn,

Love,

And accept my body.

I appreciate my body and everything it does for me.

My body is unique,

And I trust my body.

Its intuition is much more than I could ever understand.

So I surrender to my body.

I connect my mind and body together to work together.

Because that is how we have the most success.

I thank my body for protecting me.

I thank my body for supporting me.

I'm grateful for my body to be able to do all the things that I love to do.

I am grateful to be alive.

I'm grateful to breathe.

I'm grateful to be here.

I'm grateful to feel.

I'm grateful to be living in this body.

Thank you,

Body.

Thank you for showing me what is unpleasant and for showing me how I can heal.

Thank you for guiding me to ultimate healing and ultimate happiness and health.

I love you.

Thank you.

Now I want you to close this meditation by either putting your hands together in prayer,

Or maybe you're integrating all of these gratitudes and all of these love and peace and happiness some other way.

Just finding some way to integrate all of these positive affirmations that we have done here today.

I choose to put my hands in prayer for this one.

As I put my hands in prayer,

Feel the colors wrapping around me and integrating into my body.

Just feeling all of the affirmations integrate.

Feeling it through your veins and through your muscles.

Every breath in and out.

Just feeling all of these affirmations,

This positivity and love and peace being integrated.

And while we integrate this,

I'd like you to pinpoint a pain or unpleasantry that you have located somewhere in your body.

I'd like you to send all of this love and gratitude to that area.

Just letting it flow.

Just letting it locate that place of unpleasantry.

Allowing that place to be hugged with love and positivity.

Allowing that area to feel supported.

Just letting the body feel supported.

Letting the body feel loved.

Acknowledging our pain.

Acknowledging the things that hurt.

Thank you body for showing us these things.

Just letting that love,

Positivity and peace flow into the area and just letting it integrate and weave through,

Healing it.

Having all of these healing properties around it.

Feeling the cells regenerate,

Feeling the cells heal back together.

Now take two deep breaths to complete this integration.

Now let's just find awareness around our body once more.

Feeling the earth beneath you.

Feeling your feet beneath you.

Maybe giving your head a sway back and forth or your body a sway back and forth.

Just feeling how much better you feel.

Noticing all the integrations that you've done.

Noticing how your mind and body feel more connected.

In a moment I'm going to ask you to open your eyes.

If you feel like keeping your eyes closed and being in this,

You're more than welcome to.

As you open your eyes I just want you to feel all the things that feel so much better about your body.

Go ahead and open your eyes.

Maybe looking at your hands,

Looking at your feet,

Looking at your body.

Maybe looking at yourself.

Just being so grateful for what you see.

You are loved.

You're supported.

You matter.
