This 5 minute track is designed to help you find peace amidst the busy-ness of life. We focus on becoming more comfortable in the environment we are currently in by becoming familiar with it with sound. We then focus on feeling our bodies on whatever surface we are on, either seated or standing, and allow ourselves to submerge and surrender into the support it gives us. This audio has subtle background music to help provide a sense of white noise if your environment is busy.

Hello and welcome to this five minute grounding meditation.

During this meditation there's no expectations on what you're doing or if you're following along or if you're fidgeting or moving.

This meditation is intended to just allow you to come back to your body as best you can to just ground down and to stop your mind from wandering.

But if your mind tends to wander,

That's okay.

Just notice that it has and bring it back to my voice and your experience and try to let everything else be unimportant for now.

You tend to feel more comfortable in places that are more familiar to us,

So in a moment I'm going to get you to close your eyes and just listen to the sounds going on around you.

So go ahead and get comfortable and close your eyes if that feels good to do so.

Let's take a couple of nice deep breaths.

Let's go ahead and start listening to the sounds going on around you.

Maybe there's the sound of traffic.

Maybe there's the sounds of voices or cell phones or any other distractions.

Maybe it's the weather.

Maybe there's birds or wind or something else that I haven't mentioned.

Just taking some time to acknowledge and listen to the sounds going on around you.

Maybe you could even think of sounds that are familiar to this environment but aren't happening currently.

Just noticing whatever you notice.

No expectations,

No judgments.

Just listening.

Now let's take a moment to acknowledge whatever surface you're on.

Maybe you're seated,

Maybe you're standing.

Just noticing how it feels to be where you are.

If your feet are on the ground,

Can you feel that your feet are on the ground?

Maybe you can put more pressure into your toes,

Pressure into your heel,

Or maybe into the sides of your feet.

Again just noticing whatever you notice,

Just feeling your feet pressing into the surface.

And again just acknowledging whatever you're standing or sitting on.

Maybe you can reach your arms out wherever you are and just feel the space that you're in.

Feel how much space you have around you.

Maybe using your hands to touch another surface near you.

Just noticing whatever you notice,

Just feeling what you can.

Just letting your body weight sink into whatever surface you're on,

Allowing yourself to feel heavy,

Feeling supported,

Familiar,

Comfortable,

And safe now.

Thanks for joining me.

Come back to this meditation whenever you need.

Just a quick reset to just ground and be in your body and be in the present moment.

Have a great day,

Bye for now.
