I want you to find yourself in a comfortable position.
Whether that's lying down.
Sitting in a chair or comfortably on the ground.
And as you settle yourself down into your space,
I want you to draw your attention to your thoughts.
Notice your thoughts as they do their thought thing.
And now I want you to see if you can just simply separate yourself.
And step away from your thoughts.
Pulling back so that you can see your thoughts.
But you are in fact behind your thoughts.
Just take a couple breaths and be aware that Your thoughts are always going.
They will always be there and they will be waiting when we are done the body scan.
So as you feel yourself slightly behind your thoughts,
I want you to notice what it's like.
Where you are.
What does it feel like?
To experience your thoughts as being away from you,
Separate from you.
I want you to see if you can bring some awareness to What the feel of your thoughts have on your head?
They feel heavy.
Just let yourself feel your thoughts.
Now see if you can notice the rest of the space around your thoughts.
How does it feel around your thoughts,
Supporting them?
Loving them,
Holding them.
Now begin to bring your awareness down into your throat.
Leaving your thoughts where they are.
Just noticing how your throat feels,
Your jaw feels.
Who teeth feels.
We're not judging what we feel we're not trying to change what we feel we're just noticing scanning.
And see if you can bring your awareness down into your chest.
What do you feel in your chest?
Can you feel where your heart is?
Can you bring yourself to your heart?
Without judgment,
Can you.
.
.
Simply scan your heart.
Brenny.
Feelings or sensations that you might be experiencing there.
And then coming out of your heart,
Notice your shoulders.
Into your high back.
So tension.
Do they feel loose?
How do your shoulders and your upper back feel?
Again,
You're simply scanning.
Asking for information from your body.
No judgement.
Not trying to fix or solve,
Just simply be.
And then bring your awareness to your arms and your hands.
What are the sensations you feel in your biceps?
Your forearms and your fingers.
Rest your awareness on them.
Noticing any sensations or feelings that arise.
Acknowledging them,
But not stopping with them.
And then draw your attention back up your arms and down into your stomach.
What do you feel in your stomach?
Are there any sensations?
Colors feelings that arise in your stomach.
Allow what presents itself to present itself.
You don't need to look for things,
You're just simply being with where you're at.
And then bring your awareness into your hips.
Feeling if there's any tension or pain or discomfort.
Noticing without reaction.
Just feeling.
Being in connection with your body.
And then bring your awareness to your legs and your feet.
Notice if there's any sensations or feelings in your upper legs.
Your needs.
Your shins and calves.
Your ankles and your feet.
Again,
Just acknowledging.
The sensations,
Feelings.
Maybe discomfort,
Maybe ease of letting yourself feel your body.
And then bring your awareness to all of your body.
As one beautiful unit Feel the systems of your body as they work.
Your heart and lungs in tandem.
Blood flow through your body.
Just noticing any sensations,
Feelings.
And then bring your awareness to your breath.
Feel your breath as it enters your body and exits your body.
Any sensations that occur as air enters and leaves.
I'm going to see if your body has any messages for you And again,
This is just a question.
There doesn't need to be an answer.
Maybe there is.
To feel your body.
Listen.
And then bring your awareness to your thoughts.
And your body together.
See if you can notice how They work together and they communicate.
Notice if it feels easier for them to be in a relationship.
Communication with each other.
And then imagine what it feels like to just be in your thoughts.
Without being connected to your body.
Notice the sensations you feel there.
And then bring your awareness to all of you,
Your thoughts and your body.
Just as one uniform.
Energy field.
The energy of you.
If you could think of any way that you would want to set your energy,
What would it be?
How would you like to experience the world around you?
And have others experience you.
See if you can place your attention and awareness on that When do you feel you've gathered all the information that you need during your body scan today?
To give gratitude and thanks to your body and to your mind.
Good times.
And let yourself land here in the moment.
In the room that you're in.
Feeling your body against the surface that you're sitting or lying on.
Maybe begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
And enjoy the beautiful day that you have in front of you.
