Hello,
My beautiful soul.
I'm Anumiha Obalkesh and today we meditate to soften self-blame.
Self-blame often begins with a good intention.
The human mind longs to understand.
It naturally searches for meaning,
Explores possibilities,
And gently pieces together stories that helps make sense of life experiences.
Every reflection carries the hope of learning.
Every question carries the hope of growing.
Sometimes that search becomes deeply personal.
The mind begins examining every decision,
Every conversation,
Every moment,
Looking for the place where a different choice may have created a different outcome.
Beneath that search lives a heart that cares deeply.
A heart that values love,
Connection,
Growth.
A heart that has always been doing its very best to move through life with the awareness available in each moment.
Today,
I extend you an invitation to meet that heart.
Allow your eyes to softly close.
And take one slow,
Deep breath in.
Feel your chest expand gently.
And allow the breath to leave your body with ease.
Again,
Breathe in with softness.
And breathe out with spaciousness.
One more slow breath,
Feeling the rhythm that has always carried you.
Now bring your awareness into your body.
Notice the space around your eyes,
The muscles across your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your throat,
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
There's nothing to change.
Simply become acquainted with yourself.
As you settle into the quiet of this moment,
Begin listening to the conversation that lives within you.
Perhaps you recognize words that have visited your mind many times before.
Words spoken in moments of disappointment.
Words spoken after loss.
Words spoken when life unfolded differently than you had hoped.
The inner dialogue of self-blame and self-criticism.
Just go through them.
We're just observing.
Feel whatever you need to.
It is safe for you to feel whatever comes to surface.
You may hear statements of self-blame such as,
I should have known better.
I ruined everything.
This is my fault.
I always get it wrong.
I wasn't good enough.
I let everyone down.
I disappointed myself.
I carry so many regrets.
Simply notice these words.
And notice the weight they carry.
Notice how sincerely this voice has been trying to protect you by searching for certainty,
Understanding and control.
Now allow another voice to enter the conversation.
A voice that carries wisdom.
A voice that sees your whole story.
A voice that has always known your heart.
It speaks gently.
It says,
I see someone who cared deeply.
I see someone who made each decision with the awareness available in that moment.
I see someone learning through experience just as every human being does.
I see courage in every attempt.
I see love behind your intentions.
I see a heart that has continued showing up.
It says.
I see someone who cared deeply.
I see someone who made each decision with the awareness available in that moment.
I see someone learning through experience just as every human being does.
I see courage in every attempt.
I see love behind your intentions.
I see a heart that has continued showing up.
I see wisdom growing through every chapter.
I see resilience becoming stronger.
I see compassion becoming deeper.
I see a beautiful human being whose life continues to unfold.
Allow these words to land softly everywhere it heads in your mind and your body.
The first voice says,
I should have known better.
The compassionate voice replies,
You know more today because life has been teaching you with every experience.
The first voice says,
I ruined everything.
The compassionate voice response,
This chapter became part of your growth and your story continues unfolding with love.
The first voice says,
This is all my fault.
The compassionate voice answers,
Life is shaped by many experiences,
Many people,
Many moments,
And every chapter offers different kind of wisdom.
The first voice says,
I wasn't enough.
The compassionate voice whispers,
You have always been worthy of love,
Understanding,
And compassion.
Take a slow breath.
And notice which voice allows your body to soften.
Notice which voice invites your heart to open.
Notice which voice helps you feel more connected to yourself.
Allow that compassionate voice to become a familiar companion.
A voice that understands your humanity.
That honors your intentions and that continues walking besides you with kindness,
Wisdom,
And love.
I hope that as we come towards the end of the meditation,
You allow yourself carry this compassion and consideration towards yourself while you learn to live this beautiful human-led life.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Bringing this compassion with you into the rest of your day and the rest of your life.
Thank you so much for meditating with me.
I hope you have a great day.
Namaste.
