Hello and welcome to this grounding meditation.

My name is Anna Nicci.

This meditation might feel best laying down,

But you're welcome to find a comfortable seat.

Give your body some time to adjust and settle.

Whenever you've chosen where you'd like to be.

Maybe letting your eyelids feel heavy and go towards a half gay.

Or if you feel comfortable you can close them down completely.

Begin to become aware of all of the points of connection that your back body has to the ground below.

Noticing if there's any muscles or joints in your body that are trying to brace or squeeze against the ground.

Inviting all of those areas to soften and release through all of the connection points that you have to the earth below.

Imagine little roots stemming down from your body.

Going down through the foundation of the building.

Crossed into the very core of Mother Earth.

These roots anchor you down so that you can feel completely held and totally supported by the ground below.

Begin to turn your attention now towards your breath.

And just noticing.

Maybe it feels shallow or deep.

There's no right or wrong.

No need to try to morph or transform your breath right away or all at once.

You are always the observer before the alchemist.

Start to imagine that each inhale is being drawn up from those roots through the earth and up into your body to fill and expand.

Then your exhale,

Sweep back down through your body,

Through your back,

And into the earth.

Each inhale is being drawn up through your back body to fill and expand your front and side bodies.

And then lean into that sweet release,

That feeling of the letting go.

As you exhale and release back down into the ground.

Each time you breathe in,

Maybe you feel that it is expanding into your body a little bit more.

And exhales,

Release potential tension or anything that no longer serves you back down into the ground to transform and transmute.

Slow sips of your inhales,

Filling not only your belly and your lungs,

But breathing into every cell of your being.

Completely releasing and letting go.

Sometimes when we feel we are the receiver of breath,

Instead of forcing it,

It carves out space so that your body can breathe deeper and longer without efforting it to do so.

Breathing in,

Creating space from within your own body to the letting go,

The grounding down so that you create the space for your next breath.

Each exhale sinks you down a little more into the ground.

So much so that you feel like you could merge with Mother Earth herself.

Like a fallen tree that has accepted that it is now one with the ground.

So much so that soft green moss begins creeping its way to cover your body as if a blanket of warmth,

Further allowing you to surrender down into the ground.

Perhaps now you've noticed that your breath is deeper or longer naturally.

Filling and expanding,

Releasing,

Soothing,

Grounding.

It's natural for the mind to wander.

It's what it's designed to do.

But each time you become aware,

Keep coming back to your breath.

Any felt sensations that can tether you to your body.

Perhaps noticing those connection points to the ground below.

You can remain restful,

Maybe starting to wiggle fingers or toes into your beloved body.

Your first and last home in this life.

Maybe rolling ankles or wrists.

Letting your head fall side to side.

You could even outreach your arms.

Take a big stretch.

Blinking your eyes open to see once again.

Thank you so much for joining.

I'll see you next time.
