Welcome.
Welcome to a short 10 to 12 minute meditation which will ground down,
Come to relax in our bodies and then we'll take a short journey through the energy of our chakra system.
See how we're feeling today.
See if there's any place in the body that needs a little extra attention where we might not feel in our most true essence and then we'll send some intention and love there.
So I invite you to find a comfortable seat if you haven't already,
Perhaps bringing a cushion beneath the sacrum to elevate the hips and bring a nice curvature to the spine.
Perhaps you'd like to bring a cushion or a blanket underneath the knees or find a chair,
Anything that works for you today.
Just start by taking a few deep breaths coming out from the external world into our internal world.
Inhale through the nose,
Fill up,
Inhale.
Then exhale,
Audible sigh out.
Really get comfortable with making that sound.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale out through the mouth,
Sigh it out.
Let's do one more.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale,
Sigh it out.
Feeling the shoulders drop away with the vibration of your voice.
Feeling them sink away from the ears,
Down the back.
Feel yourself growing heavy,
Every contact point with the earth grounding down,
Supported,
Nurtured by Mother Earth.
Keeping the spine somewhat tall and erect,
I invite you now to bring your hands to heart center and slowly begin to rub the hands together,
Creating some heat back and forth,
Creating some friction.
And then taking the right or the left hand,
Whichever feels more natural to you,
I'd like you to bring your hand right above the third eye to the crown chakra,
About two inches away from your skin,
So not touching the body.
And slowly begin to move your hand down the body,
Over the third eye,
The area of the pituitary gland,
Over the throat chakra,
Down over the heart,
Keeping it about two inches from the body as you move down a little further towards the solar plexus,
Feeling free to stop anywhere you feel any subtle changes or disruptions in energy.
And then finally all the way down to the pelvis,
To the sacral chakra and the lower abdomen,
And then down a little bit further all the way to our root chakra,
Right at the base of our spine above the pubic bone.
Just hold your hand here for a moment,
Without judging,
Without analyzing,
Without trying to understand.
Perhaps you feel nothing,
Perhaps you feel something and both are absolutely normal and absolutely okay.
And then bring your hands to a resting position,
Perhaps on the knees,
Maybe even taking a mudra,
Yana mudra,
Bringing the thumb and the forefinger together and letting the other three fingers sway out wide,
Either keeping the palms face down or face up.
Hands classic,
Hand positioned,
Noting wisdom,
Circulating the energy back to the body.
Inhale through the nose once again,
Fill up,
Inhale and then exhale out through the mouth sigh.
Now I'd like you to bring awareness to your sacral chakra,
Our muladhara chakra,
Bringing this area right below the sacrum above the pubic bone into your awareness.
Perhaps you see a deep color red.
And here is where we connect to the earth,
Connect to our tribe,
Connect to our ancestors,
To our safety in the world.
Are you feeling grounded?
Are you feeling safe?
Are you feeling connected to your family,
To your lineage?
Without judging,
Just simply reflecting on the thoughts,
Bringing this energy center,
This subtle energy wheel,
Chakra means wheel,
Into your awareness.
How does that make you feel?
Keeping the breathing nice and long.
Perhaps you hear the mantra,
I am safe.
I am safe.
I belong.
I belong here.
I am safe.
And slowly begin to move your awareness up the spine to the subtle energy center of the sva-risthana,
The sacral chakra.
One's own abode,
This is our seat of emotions.
It governs our relationship with others,
Our intimate relationships,
Our one-on-one relationships,
Our creativity,
Our sexuality.
How does this make you feel?
What does bringing awareness to the subtle energy center of the body do to your energy?
Could it be triggering?
Could it be relaxing?
Envisioning a warm orange color,
Warm orange sunset over the watery ocean.
Here perhaps take on the mantra,
I am nourished.
I am nourished in my relationships.
I am nourished that I may be creative.
I am nourished so that I may be intimate.
Long deep breaths in the nose and out through the nose,
Moving your awareness up to the solar plexus,
A bright yellow,
Our city of gems,
Our manipura chakra.
This governs our relationship to power,
The subtle energy center,
Our relationship to our self-worth,
Our drive,
Our financial inclinations.
How do you connect to your power?
How do you connect to your right to be here now,
To take up space?
Envisioning this happy,
Vibrant yellow color,
Hearing the mantra,
I am powerful.
I am powerful to follow my dharma,
To follow my path,
To do that which I desire,
To be that which I desire.
I am powerful.
I am safe.
I am nourished.
I am powerful.
Moving your attention,
Awareness,
And focus up to the heart,
Anahata chakra,
The heart chakra,
The unstruct sound is what anahata means.
For our heartbeat beats on and on like a drum,
Yet never struck.
The unstruct sound continues on without us doing anything.
This subtle energy center relates to our ability to love,
Our openness to receive love,
To give love,
Joy,
Lightheartedness,
Lightheartedness,
Lightheartedness.
Are you open to receiving love?
Do you give love freely?
And at the same time,
Are you protective over your energy?
Please save some love for yourself.
Envisioning this warm,
Loving,
Nurturing green light around the anahata chakra,
Take on the mantra,
I am love.
I am love.
I am safe.
I am nourished.
I am powerful.
I am love.
Letting your awareness continue to drop to the spine,
To a beautiful blue light center at the throat chakra,
Vishuddha chakra.
Are you living and speaking your truth?
Are you able to speak your mind with ease,
Equanimity,
Honesty?
Do we express ourselves at the seat,
The subtle energetic seat of expression,
Do we express ourselves with truth?
Seeing this beautiful blue light envelop this question as you hear the mantra,
I am truth.
I am truth.
I am truth.
Letting your awareness drop up to the third eye,
The space between the eyebrows.
Here we come to our asana chakra,
Our third eye chakra,
Asana,
Our seat of intuition,
Of clairvoyance,
Experiential wisdom at this energy center of the body.
Those moments when we get out of the mind,
Get out of logical examination,
Trying to explain,
To analyze,
To understand,
And we just let ourselves feel intuitively,
Interpret intuitively that which is around us.
Do you feel connected to your intuition?
Do you trust that gut feeling you have?
Letting a beautiful indigo color envelop this question,
Take the mantra,
I am clear.
I am clear.
I see that I am clear.
And then moving up further still,
Letting this beautiful indigo of the asana third eye chakra melt into an all encompassing white,
Pure blue,
Pure white,
Slight blue,
Hint or undertone this beautiful vibrant white at our crown chakra,
The sahasrara chakra.
Our connection to spirit or God or nature,
Whichever name resonates with you.
Our connection with all that is,
All that was,
All that will be.
Because we are,
We are not separate.
We come from this earth,
We are made of this earth,
Of this universe,
And to it we will return.
Let this realization feel blissful.
As the slight smile comes to the face,
As you hear the mantra,
I am one.
I am one.
I am one.
I am safe.
I am nourished.
I am powerful.
I am love.
I am truth.
I am clear.
I am one.
Feeling long deep inhales,
Longer still exhales.
Feeling the qualities of these mantras.
Feel the depths of your soul and your body that they are true,
They ring true.
I invite you to bring your hands once again to namaskar,
Prayer mudra at heart center and begin to gently rub the hands together,
Creating some heat,
Creating some friction once again.
Repeat the process that we did at the beginning of this meditation,
Bringing our hands about two inches away from the body,
Over the third eye,
Over the crown.
I mean,
Slowly melt your hand down the body,
Feeling through these subtle energy centers of the body,
Each of the seven chakras we journeyed through today.
Going slowly,
Moving through the heart,
Down the stomach,
Through the solar plexus,
To the sacral chakra and finally down to the root chakra.
Still keeping the eyes closed if that feels safe and secure today.
Then did you notice anything slightly different,
Do you feel any different,
Did anything come up?
And if nothing's happening,
Do not worry.
That's completely normal,
Just taking note of how you feel without judging.
And then finally bring your hands back to heart center,
Gratitude for your body and where you are today.
Slowly flutter your eyes open when you're ready.
Let's do it.
Lighten the appetite.
You you
