Welcome to your root chakra.
Take a slow gentle breath in and just softly let it go.
Breathe in and as you breathe out just feel yourself letting go of any stress or tension.
Just allow yourself to arrive here fully in this moment.
Simply let yourself be held by this experience as we journey into the energy of your root chakra.
This is the foundation of the chakra system.
It's the energetic center connected to safety,
Grounding,
Belonging,
Stability,
Support and trust in life itself.
So take a moment to find your comfy space warm and cozy and gently close your eyes.
Breathe in and as you breathe out just allow your shoulders to soften,
Your jaw relax,
Your back softening,
Arms and hands letting go,
Your chest releasing,
Your belly is soft and calm,
Hips softening,
Legs and feet and toes.
Very relaxed.
So in Sanskrit the root chakra is known as Muladhara meaning root support or base foundation.
The color here is deep red.
It's the color of the earth,
Of life force,
Of strength and survival.
So its energy really connects us to the physical world,
To our bodies,
To nature and to the feeling of being supported by life itself.
The crystals often associated with Muladhara include red jasper,
Smoky quartz,
Black tourmaline and hematite.
These are grounding stones that help anchor and stabilize your energy body.
And its sacred seed mantra is the sound LAM.
It's a vibration that is traditionally used to activate,
Balance and strengthen the root chakra.
So now you may softly repeat the sound LAM silently within yourself or just simply allow the vibration of the word to echo gently into your awareness.
So just take a deep breath in and as you breathe out the seed mantra LAM.
And in your own time for two more rounds breathe in.
And just resume your natural breathing pattern.
Feel the grounding resonance of that sound.
Feel the grounding resonance of that sound moving gently through the base of your spine.
It is ancient,
It is steady and it is rooting.
And you may repeat the sound LAM silently within yourself throughout this meditation.
Now bring your awareness to the base of your spine and this is the energetic seat of Muladhara.
This is the sacred energy center that carries our deepest feelings around support,
Belonging,
Home,
Community,
Trust and survival.
Maybe this part of you has felt disconnected from these things at times.
You may have had moments of feeling unsupported,
Uncertain.
But just simply acknowledge that gently.
Now feel the surface beneath you supporting your body completely.
The earth is asking nothing from you except your presence.
So as you breathe slowly and naturally,
Just feel your jaws softening even further,
Your shoulders dropping down from your ears.
And just notice how your belly is beginning to relax.
So breathe in and as you breathe out release a little more tension,
A little more holding,
A little more effort letting go.
Now beneath you the earth is becoming warm and alive.
It's a rich soil,
Deep and ancient.
You begin to sense soft roots extending from the base of your spine,
Flowing downward effortlessly into the earth below.
These are long,
Slow,
Beautiful roots.
And with every breath they travel deeper through the soil,
Stone,
Underground rivers and ancient layers of the earth.
Now the deeper your roots travel the more supported you begin to feel.
Because the earth has held mountains,
Forests,
Oceans,
Entire civilizations.
And now it is holding you.
So breathing in allow yourself to receive that support,
That energy and breathing out release the habit of carrying everything.
And just let's pause here for a few slow breaths in your own time.
And now as your roots settle deep into the heart of the earth,
A warm red glow begins to rise upward through them.
It is soft at first and then stronger.
This is an ancient grounding energy.
It is steady,
Nourishing and protective.
So this energy is rising slowly into your root chakra right at the base of your spine.
So now you may begin to sense warmth here,
Heaviness,
Tingling or just perhaps simply awareness.
So just allow the feeling.
Now this glowing red energy is gently filling your root chakra completely.
If there are any energetic holes or emptiness or exhaustion within this space,
This earth begins lovingly restoring them now.
The earth energy is slow,
Natural and compassionate.
It's like the rain nourishing the dry ground,
Like roots reconnecting to living soil.
So just feel this healing energy.
It's filling every empty space with steadiness,
Warmth,
Belonging and life.
You are not separate from the earth because you belong here and you have always belonged here.
Now you see yourself standing within a vast ancient forest.
There are towering trees surrounding you.
They have such strong trunks and deep roots.
The air here is cool and peaceful.
And there is a golden light filtering gently through the leaves overhead.
And as you stand there,
You become aware of something beautiful.
You are not alone here.
All around you is quiet life.
The trees,
The air,
The wind,
The birdsong.
It's the unseen rhythm of nature itself.
Everything is connected here and everything is supporting everything else.
The forest does not question whether you belong.
It simply welcomes you.
And now you begin to notice gentle figures appearing in the distance.
These are kind souls,
Warm presences,
Ancient ancestors with a loving energy.
No fear here,
Only calm acceptance.
And they form a beautiful quiet circle around you.
It's a circle of support,
A circle of belonging.
A reminder that human beings were never meant to walk through life entirely alone.
So just allow yourself to stand within this circle now and receive.
Softly repeat within yourself,
I am supported.
I am grounded.
I belong here.
Life holds me.
The earth supports me.
I am safe to exist fully as I am.
Good.
You are supported.
You are grounded.
And you belong here.
And just feel those words settling deeply into your body now,
Into your nervous system and into your root chakra itself.
And now the red energy at the base of your spine begins glowing brighter.
A warm,
Steady,
Strong glow.
It's not overwhelming,
But just deeply rooted,
Just like the ancient trees that are surrounding you.
And just feel this grounding energy flowing down through the legs,
Your feet and through your entire body now.
It's bringing stability,
Presence,
Strength.
And now you can really soften.
You can breathe and you can trust this moment.
Wonderful.
So gently and slowly begin bringing awareness back to your physical body.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The rhythm of your breath softly flowing in and out.
The room around you.
And remember to carry this feeling with you,
This feeling of being rooted,
Held,
Connected.
And know that even in difficult season,
The earth remains beneath you.
It's supporting you with every step.
You are returning softly,
Slowly,
Gently,
Like the earth at sunrise,
Awakening gradually to the light.
This grounding energy will remain within you.
The roots you have grown still extend deep into the earth below,
Steady,
Ancient,
Supportive.
And the healing does not end here.
Your connection to the earth is always available to you.
With every mindful breath,
With every step taken slowly upon the ground,
With every moment you choose presence over fear,
You strengthen this sacred connection once more.
So just take a moment now to simply rest in the feeling of being supported.
Held by the earth.
Held by life.
Held within something far greater than yourself.
And remember you're not separate from nature.
You are part of its living rhythm.
It's that same intelligence that moves rivers,
Grows forests,
And guides the stars through the night sky.
And this also moves quietly within you.
So remember only this moment,
Only this breath,
Only this moment.
This gentle remembering that you belong here.
So now allow the energy of muladhara to continue glowing softly at the base of your spine.
Feel its warmth,
Its balance,
How steady it is,
Just like glowing embers deep within the earth.
So begin to just deepen your breath slightly.
You might gently roll your shoulders or stretch a little.
And before you fully return,
Really offer gratitude to yourself for showing up,
For breathing,
For healing,
And for allowing yourself to receive support.
And thank the earth beneath you,
This ancient living presence that carries us all so patiently each day.
And just take one final slow nourishing breath in and gently sigh it out.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes and just return softly,
Grounded,
Rooted,
Supported.
And may you carry this feeling with you long after this session ends.
Namaste,
My friend.
