Good morning and welcome to this moment of calm.
It's a space where your breath becomes your anchor and your inner balance gently unfolds.
Today we'll explore coherent breathing.
It's a rhythmic practice that harmonizes your inhale and exhale to steady your nervous system,
Bringing peace and clarity.
This practice supports your emotional resilience and helps you stand strong in the flow of life.
So just begin by settling into your comfortable position,
Allowing yourself to arrive fully here right now.
Gently and softly close your eyes and just feel your body soften.
Begin by bringing attention to your feet.
Notice any sensations there,
The contact with the ground or surface beneath you.
Now slowly move your awareness up through your legs,
Calves,
Knees and thighs,
Releasing any tension you might find.
Feel your hips settle.
Feel your belly rise and fall naturally with your breath.
Now gently scan your chest and back.
And just notice the expansion and contraction as you breathe.
Soften your shoulders,
Releasing any heaviness.
And just let your arms rest comfortably.
Your hands are relaxed.
Bring your attention now to your neck and throat,
Softening the muscles in this area.
And then notice your face.
Feel your jaw relax,
Your eyes,
Your forehead,
All the muscles in your face are now relaxed.
And just allow your entire body to feel supported and calm.
Good.
So let's begin the coherent breathing pattern.
This means breathing in for a steady count,
Then breathing out for the same count,
Creating balance and rhythm.
So you start by inhaling gently through your nose for a count of six.
You pause very briefly at the top of your breath,
And then slowly through your nose,
Release for the same count of six.
So let's begin.
Inhale gently through your nose for a count of six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Pause and exhale slowly.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
So just continue keeping this rhythm.
Inhale for six,
Pause,
Exhale for six,
Letting your breath be smooth and even,
Like the ebb and flow of gentle waves.
If six feels too long or too short,
Adjust what feels natural for you.
The goal is to create balance and ease.
So continue breathing this way for four more rounds,
And feel your nervous system calm and your mind settle.
And once more,
Inhale for six,
Pause and exhale for six.
Just feel the rhythm of your breath and return to your natural breathing pattern.
So just visualize sitting by a calm,
Gently flowing ocean.
With each inhale,
You see a smooth,
Gentle wave rising.
It's steady,
Rhythmic,
And peaceful.
As you breathe in slowly and deeply,
The wave lifts higher,
And it's bringing fresh air into your body.
Fresh,
Pure energy to your body.
And with each exhale,
The wave flows back calmly,
Carrying away tension,
Stress,
Any thoughts that you might be holding onto.
Now visualize your breath syncing perfectly with the rhythm of this wave.
Steady,
Even,
Balanced.
Feel the soothing motion ripple through your chest,
Into your heart,
And all through your body.
So with every breath cycle,
Your heart beats in harmony with this natural rhythm,
Creating a sense of deep coherence and calm.
Imagine this coherent wave connecting your heart and mind.
It's aligning your thoughts and feelings into peaceful balance.
Just allow yourself to float gently on this calm wave.
You are steady and centered.
As you continue breathing with this rhythm,
Just feel your body relax and your mind quiet.
So carry this calm coherence with you as you slowly return your awareness to the present moment.
As you breathe coherently,
Imagine this peaceful rhythm is now flowing through your entire being.
It's a calm current that carries away any tension and invites clarity.
Notice how your breath connects to your body and your emotions.
Notice what thoughts arise.
Observe them without judgment,
Like clouds drifting across a clear sky.
This moment is yours.
It's an opportunity to find stillness amidst life's currents.
So with each balanced breath,
Invite a sense of harmony between your beautiful heart and your mind.
And just reflect for a moment,
How can I carry this calm presence with me today?
What small act of kindness or strength can I offer to myself?
Now silently or out loud,
Repeat this affirmation and let it settle deep into your being.
With every balanced breath,
I nurture calm within.
I am grounded,
Centered,
And at peace.
Feel the truth of these words resonate in your heart.
Beautiful.
So begin to deepen your breath now,
But keep the balance between your inhale and exhale.
Feel the calm energy,
The rhythm that you've cultivated gently spreading through your body,
From your core to your fingertips,
Your face and down to your toes.
Carry this coherent calm with you like a soft shield,
Protecting your peace while empowering your courage.
Take a few more breaths here,
Breathing in calm and breathing out any remaining stress or tension.
And when you feel ready,
Just slowly bring gentle movement back to your body.
Roll your shoulders if that feels good and stretch your body if you wish.
Open your eyes softly,
Carrying this sense of calm and balance into your day.
Thank you so much for joining this practice of coherent calm.
Remember,
Your breath is always here,
Ready to guide you back to balance whenever you need.
Namaste,
My friend.
