Welcome to this practice to calm your mind and a breath for peace.
You've arrived at a space that is made just for you.
A space where you can pause,
Exhale and simply be.
Let this be a time to rest your mind.
To return to the quiet center within you and breathe your way home to peace.
There's nothing to fix here.
No need to try.
It's just you,
Your breath and the soft invitation to return to yourself.
So let's begin with a gentle body scan to ease you into comfort.
Just feel the support beneath you,
Your chair,
Your bed,
The earth.
It's warm and cozy and softly close your eyes.
Let this support hold you completely and we'll begin at the top of your head.
Just bring your awareness there to your crown chakra,
Your scalp and simply soften.
Feel any tension melt away.
Now gently move your awareness to your forehead.
And smooth it out like water on glass.
Let your eyes be soft behind your closed eyelids.
And clench your jaw.
Let your tongue rest at the bottom of your mouth.
Relax your shoulders.
Relax your neck.
Just let them drop with gravity.
Feel your arms heavy,
Elbows,
Wrists,
Fingers.
Let them rest fully doing nothing.
Now soften your chest area.
Just feel the rise and fall of your natural breath.
Breath flowing in,
Flowing out.
Let your belly be soft and easy.
No need to hold in or tighten.
Just let it be.
Relax your hips.
Just feel the weight of your pelvis supported by the surface beneath you.
Soften your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves and ankles all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Now sense your entire body.
It's held,
Supported and deeply at ease.
Like a leaf that is resting on still water.
Let yourself settle here with nothing to do and nowhere to be.
Wonderful.
Now we begin a gentle breath practice to carry you deeper inward.
It's called the peace pulse.
I'll guide you.
So first,
Take a soft inhale.
Inhale.
Sip in again.
And one more sip in.
And now exhale in one smooth,
Peaceful sigh.
Let it go.
Let it go.
So I'll just do that once more.
Take three gentle sips through your nose.
Sip in.
Sip in.
And once more.
Sip in.
And now exhale in a peaceful sigh.
Letting it go.
So let this breath become your rhythm.
Inhale in three soft sips.
Breathing in.
Peace.
Peace.
Peace.
Exhale in one smooth flow.
Release and let go.
You don't need to force or perfect the breath.
Just allow the rhythm to soothe you.
Each inhale opens.
Each exhale releases.
So continue this breath in your own time for five more cycles and just feel the gentle wave moving through you like the tide drawing in.
Then letting go.
So just continue now in your own time.
Peace in.
Peace in.
Peace in.
And release.
Letting go.
And once more.
Sip.
Sip.
Sip.
And release.
Letting go.
Deeper into stillness.
Deeper into quiet.
Resume your natural breathing pattern now.
It's easy and unforced.
It's your resting breath.
If it feels right,
Place a hand over your heart or gently on your belly.
Sense the warmth of your own touch.
It's a reminder you are here.
You are safe.
You are whole.
Feel the hand over your heart and just feel the warmth,
The softness and just feel your heartbeat.
Now with your awareness in your heart space,
Just imagine a soft golden light glowing in your chest.
It's gently pulsing with each breath.
With every inhale,
This light expands.
And with every exhale,
It softens and settles.
So feel into that space.
Let this light grow warmer,
Softer,
Steadier.
This is the feeling of peace.
It's not something to imagine,
But something to feel right here in the body.
So notice what it's like to truly rest in peace.
No need to search for it.
It's here.
It's always been here.
Within you.
So say to yourself now,
Either out loud or as a whisper.
I am peaceful.
My breath is my refuge.
Peace lives within me.
Let the quiet deepen.
Let the stillness be enough.
Beautiful.
And now gently begin to return to the space around you.
Notice sound.
Notice how your body as it is now,
Softer,
Quieter,
At ease.
Your mind is quiet.
Feel the breath in your body.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Feel the peace that you have cultivated from within.
And there is no need to leave this feeling.
You can carry it with you like a soft candle glowing in your heart.
It's a steady,
Loving flame of calm.
It's your inner light.
So now,
Take a moment to really thank yourself.
For choosing stillness today.
For showing up for your own healing.
For quietening your mind.
And for remembering your own peace.
It is all within you.
So,
Whenever you need to return to this breath,
This stillness,
It will always be there for you.
Remember,
You are calm.
You are safe.
You are deeply held.
And you are deeply,
Deeply at peace.
Namaste,
My friend.
