Welcome.
Have you noticed how easily you can offer kindness and understanding to someone else?
Yet maybe find it so much harder to offer that same kindness to yourself.
It might be that you've been replaying something you said,
A decision you made.
Or something that you wished you'd handled differently.
And before you know it.
There is that little voice inside that has started telling you what you should have done,
What you could have done.
Or why you weren't quite good enough.
And so if that sounds familiar.
Then these next few minutes are for you.
Not to become a better version of yourself,
But simply to remember that you deserve the same gentleness that you so freely offer to others.
So find your comfy space warm and cozy.
Let's just take a moment away from your busy day.
So,
Just close your eyes gently,
Take a gentle breath in through your nose.
And just let it leave slowly.
Again,
Breathing in.
And as you breathe out,
Just let go of any stress or tension.
These are just a few minutes to be with yourself in a kinder way.
So,
Just bring to mind something that you've been giving yourself a hard time about.
It doesn't need to be anything big.
Maybe you forgot something important or you became impatient.
You made a choice that,
Looking back,
You might have done differently.
And just notice what happens when you think about it.
Do you feel a tightening somewhere in your body?
Maybe across your shoulders.
Around your chest or in your belly.
Just notice.
We can sometimes carry these small moments around us for hours,
Days or even years.
We revisit them,
Turning them over in our minds.
As though being hard on ourselves might somehow change what happened.
But it really doesn't change the past.
It simply makes the present a little heavier.
So just for now.
Let's put some of that weight down.
And just imagine now that someone you care deeply about came to you with this very same experience.
They told you what had happened.
They explained how disappointed they felt in themselves.
So what would you say to them?
Would you remind them of every mistake they've ever made?
Or would you listen?
Maybe you'd remind them that they're human.
That everyone has these difficult moments.
But one decision,
One conversation.
One imperfect day doesn't define the whole of who they are.
So now here's something I'd love for you to consider.
What if you spoke to yourself that way too?
Not because you're making excuses or maybe what happened doesn't matter.
But because kindness and responsibility can exist together.
Because you can learn something here.
You can make amends where needed and you can choose differently next time.
And you can do all of that without being unkind to yourself.
So now just bring a hand to your heart.
Feel the warmth of your hand resting there.
Take a comfortable breath and quietly,
In your own words,
Acknowledge.
That was a difficult moment.
I did what I could with what I knew then.
I can learn and I can be so kind to myself along the way.
So maybe a thought appears saying yes,
But I really should have known better.
And that's all right.
Just simply notice it and then gently return to your breath.
There is a difference between listening to your inner wisdom and listening to your inner critic.
Because your inner wisdom really helps you grow.
It offers you perspective.
It encourages you to make choices that feel right.
Your inner critic,
It often repeats the same story without offering you anywhere new to go.
So today,
Begin to recognize that difference.
And that you don't have to believe every unkind thought that passes through your mind.
So take a slow easy breath in.
And as you breathe out,
Just release and let go.
Notice the support beneath you,
The feeling of your feet against the floor,
The quiet movement of your breath.
The simple fact that you are here in this very moment.
And you are not back in yesterday's conversation,
Not inside that decision you wish you could revisit,
But right here.
And this is a moment,
This is a moment where you can begin again.
So carry one gentle thought with you today.
I am a work in progress and worthy of my own kindness.
And just breathe those words deep into your heart.
Beautiful.
So just remember that being kinder to yourself.
Isn't something that you have to get right every day.
There may still be moments when that familiar critical voice returns.
But when it does,
Maybe now you can recognize it a little sooner.
If you just take a breath and ask yourself,
Is there a kinder way to see this?
And just offering yourself that one small question can open up the space.
And that is that space where you will find.
Your understanding.
Your perspective,
Your learnings and a softer way forward.
So breathe in.
And breathe out.
Gentle.
And slow.
Breathe in.
And as you breathe out slowly release.
Feel into your body and just notice how you feel now.
A little lighter.
A little softer.
So when you're ready,
Return to your day but take with you this simple reminder.
You are allowed to be human.
And you are worthy of your kindness,
Of your care.
Especially for you.
So thank you so much for joining me.
Until the next time,
Namaste my friend.
