
Samadhi Yoga Nidra & The Ocean Of Bliss
Yoga Nidra is a sleep-based meditation practice with quantifiable results. It allows us to experience ourselves as the unchanging state of being, beyond body and mind. It is typically done laying down and in fact, it is the experience of deep comfort that allows us to open to these deep brain waves states that are the most profound for healing. In fact, this is the same state that doctors induce for patients with serious life-threatening disease or injury because it is understood that this state is the most highly healing and restorative to the central nervous system. The more time we spend resting in the space of who we truly are, the less we are at the effect of what is passing through. It is through the CNS that we perceive our world and if it is out of balance, everything is out of balance. When the central nervous system is restored to balance, overall healing is then set in motion.

Welcome to Yoga Nidra,
A sleep-based mindfulness meditation practice which uses simple body,
Breath,
And awareness practices to access the deepest brainwave states where profound rejuvenation and healing occur.
It is said that one hour of Yoga Nidra is worth up to four hours of deep sleep.
Through Yoga Nidra we begin to experience an indestructible inner resource of strength,
Calm,
And ease that is always available to us at every moment in time.
The more time we spend experiencing this,
The more our lives begin to reflect a greater sense of peace and joy.
Let's begin.
Eliminate all distractions.
Lay down comfortably with legs stretched out below you,
Feet splayed out to the side.
Place a pillow or bolster under your knees for support and a blanket over you to keep you warm as the body cools.
Arms to your sides,
Palms face up,
And a cloth or weighted eye pillow over your eyes to further soothe away any stress.
Stop all movement except for the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Allow your breath to be easy and natural.
Once you are comfortable,
Become perfectly still.
Shift from doing to being.
Feel the body opening to gravity.
Let go.
This time is for you,
Entirely for you.
Let yourself be here now.
Allow any arising thoughts to effortlessly float away.
Feel your body melting,
Melting into the mat or the bed beneath you.
Say silently to yourself,
I am practicing yoga nidra.
I will not sleep.
Allow the tip of the tongue to rest at the roof of the mouth,
Gently activating the master glands,
The pituitary and the pineal.
Close your eyes and quiet your mind.
Be still.
Let go of all thoughts,
Worry and tension.
Relax,
Trust,
And let go.
Rest deeply in comfort,
For it is comfort that allows us to sink into the deepest levels of yoga nidra and reveal the utmost gifts of this ancient practice.
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in,
Trust,
And let go.
Be here now.
Listen to the sounds in the distance,
The most far away sounds,
Without trying to identify.
Simply listening.
Now listen for the sounds within the room.
Aware of how sounds arise out of nothing and dissolve back into nothing.
Recognize the space where sound and silence meet,
The interplay between the two,
The reflection of each upon the other.
Now coming back to the source of all sound at third eye center,
In between the eyebrows.
Become aware of the third eye,
This golden egg in the brain,
In the space between the eyebrows,
The gateway to inner seeing and knowing.
Bring into your awareness your sun kalpam,
Your heart's true desire.
From this space of inner knowing,
Plant the seed of your sun kalpam as if it is already true.
This is the seed of your transformation.
Silently speak your sun kalpam three times and let the vibration of that truth emanate throughout your entire body as if it is already true.
Feel it through every part of you now.
Vibrate this sun kalpam as truth in the fertile soil of gratitude.
Now listen as I guide you through the different parts of the body,
Becoming aware of each body part as I name it and then releasing it from your awareness without attachment.
Third eye,
Bridge of the nose,
Tip of the nose,
Lips,
Space between the lips,
Chin,
Pit of the throat,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm of the right hand,
Right hand thumb,
Index finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
And little finger,
Back of the hand,
Wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder,
Pit of the throat,
Left shoulder,

Become aware of third eye center.
Come now to the breath,
The thread that links the material world to the unmanifest,
Sense it as it touches the tip of the nose,
Then reaching deep down into the lungs.
Welcome full yogic breath.
Inhaling,
Expand the belly,
Then the diaphragm,
Then the upper chest.
Exhaling,
Release chest,
Diaphragm,
Then belly.
Repeating a few more times in this way,
At your own pace,
Breathing all the way in,
Filling from bottom to top,
Then exhaling top to bottom.
Continue.
Release full yogic breath and allowing the breath to naturally and without effort,
Move up and down the central channel,
The Sushumna.
Inhaling,
Rise to third eye point.
Exhaling,
Drop down to the ocean of bliss at heart center.
Rising through Sushumna up to third eye on the inhale,
And down to heart center on the exhale.
Listening for the silent mantra that vibrates without effort,
Sat Nam.
Sat Nam.
I am truth.
Inhaling Sat,
Exhaling Nam,
Rising to third eye Sat.
And then down to heart center,
Nam.
Flowing at your own pace.
Inhaling,
Rising up to third eye.
Exhaling down to heart center.
Sat Nam.
Continue.
Now stop.
Welcome the sensation of hot throughout your whole body.
Whole body hot.
Imagine yourself walking in a hot desert.
Summer sun beating down on you.
The air like a hot sauna.
Sweat rolling off your body.
Experience the whole body hot.
Now invite the sensation of cold.
Feeling icy,
Frigid,
Freezing cold.
Imagine yourself on a frigid cold winter's night.
Freezing cold wind blowing right through you.
Shivering,
Biting cold.
Experience the whole body cold.
Now welcome the sensation of agitation.
Remember a time when you felt agitation.
Awaking the feeling of turmoil and agitation.
In the body now to its fullest extent.
Do not hold back.
Whole being experiencing turmoil and agitation.
Now let go of that sensation.
Let it dissolve into nothingness and become the vibration of pleasure.
Bring to mind a time when you felt a pure sense of delight and joy.
Feel that throughout your whole body now.
Awaken the sensation of pleasure in the body now.
Be the energy of pleasure and delight now.
Be the energy of pleasure and delight now.

Without attachment,
Become aware of these objects as I say them and then let them go.
Sunrise in the mountains.
Birds flying around.
Children playing joyfully.
A loving elderly couple.
Soft sand.
A river flowing.
Tipis in a valley.
A boat sailing.
Clouds passing by.
Monks chanting.
Soft wind in the trees.
Twinkling stars.
The expansive night sky.
Space.
Ever expansive.
Boundless.
All pervading.
All inclusive.
All inclusive.
Space.
Now bring your whole awareness to third eye center.
Your whole awareness third eye.
Sense the pineal gland here pulsing and hear the sound Aum resonating from its core.
The vibration of Aum at third eye stimulates the release of golden amruta,
The immortal nectar,
To drip down into the sacred heart,
The ocean of bliss.
Third eye vibrating,
Pulsing with a sound of Aum.
Golden amruta dripping down into the infinite ocean of the sacred heart.
Bliss rippling out in every direction with every drop.
Aum resonating with every drop.
See yourself floating now.
Your whole body floating freely on the gentle waves in the ever expansive ocean.
Rocking.
Rocking.
Gently rocking.
As if you are being held safely in the warm womb of existence.
Gently rocking.
Slipping into deeper states of being now.
Awareness on the expansiveness of the sea in which you are floating.
Golden in color.
Expanding out in all directions.
Notice the boundaries of your body beginning to dissolve.
The entire body dissolving into the gentle rocking of the golden sea.
Expanding outward for as far as the mind can perceive.
And then melting into nothingness.
Let your whole self dissolve into the infinite,
Calm,
Clear expanse of the sea.
Be still.
Be still.
Everything I seek is within myself.
I am the creator of every aspect of my life.
And I choose peace,
Health,
Vitality,
And joy.
I am worthy.
All of life comes to me with ease and joy.
From this space of infinite stillness,
You find yourself walking on a path in nature.
Hear the sounds of trees swaying in the distance.
Birds singing in a waterfall.
Smell the fragrance of flowers all around you.
There is a definite sense of safety,
Ease,
And welcoming here.
As you walk,
Feel the cool,
Soft moss beneath your bare feet.
And now,
Before you,
See a small ancient temple hidden among the trees.
All sides open.
Four stone pillars holding a roof covered lightly with vines.
You notice that this temple is lit from within.
Soft and pure golden light from within.
You are drawn to sit on the soft bed of moss in this space and absorb the pure wisdom of what is here for you now.
Pure golden light vibrating with a voice of creation.
Pure wisdom of knowing.
Fully present and aware.
Allow this knowingness to arise and awaken within you now.
Let it rise up effortlessly into your awareness from the pure potency of the core of your being.
Be still and receive the light of your being.
Be still and receive the wisdom that is your highest truth.
Be still and receive the wisdom that is your highest truth.
Be still and receive the wisdom that is your highest truth.
I am the light of awareness.
Wisdom is ever present and available to me.
The ocean of bliss is my inherent and absolute truth.
I am the light of love.
Return your awareness to your samkalpa from earlier.
Let it rest in your heart as a living pulsing vibration.
Silently and with a deep breath,

Silently repeat this samkalpa three times,
Letting it continue to ripple out from your being long after this yoga nidra practice is complete.
Drawing to you knowledge,
Experiences,
And resources that make this intention a living reality with ease and joy.
Begin to become aware of your breath again,
Sensing your breath in and out,
Chest and belly rising and falling.
Become aware of your body laying on the floor.
Whole body laying on the floor.
Feel the floor.
Feel the floor beneath you now.
Feel into your hands and your feet,
All of your body.
Feel the whole body now becoming more awake and more alive.
Breathe deeply.
Bringing your whole awareness back to your body.

Know that you have created a complete paradigm shift with ripple effects reaching through all dimensions in this holographic reality where everything is a reflection of you.
