Hello again and welcome.
This video is called What is Nonduality?
Understanding the distinctions.
This video is in support.
Of the previous published video by the title,
What is Nonduality?
But here we look a little deeper,
Exploring what it means to live with an awareness that embraces these distinctions.
Now I'll go through and read this as per the list that I've got here.
There is no fundamental separation.
The apparent division between self and world,
Subject and object,
Is not ultimately what reality is.
Awareness is primary.
Experience appears within awareness.
Awareness itself is not merely another object.
Appearing within experience.
There is no separate,
Independent me.
The person is experienced as a body,
Thoughts,
Memories,
History.
Preferences and identity.
But the assumed separate experiencer is itself.
Something to investigate.
The world is not fundamentally outside.
The assumption,
I am a person living in a world,
Is part of the conceptual structure that creates apparent separation.
Experience is already whole.
Nothing needs to be added to this moment to make awareness complete.
The sense of lack arises from identification and separation.
Something is missing from me.
Presupposes that there is a separate me who is incomplete.
Seeking reinforces the sense of separation.
The seeker imagines that fulfilment exists somewhere in the future.
In another experience,
Possession,
Relationship.
Achievement or State what is thought is already present.
Peace,
Completeness,
Presence and awareness.
And not necessarily things to acquire.
They are obscured by the movement of seeking.
Thought is not reality.
Thought interprets,
Labels,
Compares and conceptualizes experience.
But the description is not the thing itself.
The past and future exist as thoughts now.
Memory and anticipation appear in present awareness.
They are not experienced anywhere other than now.
There is no separate doer in the ultimate sense.
Actions,
Thoughts,
Intentions and responses arise through an extraordinary complex of unfolding of conditions rather than from an independently existing I.
Resistance creates an apparent second reality.
When experience is divided into what is happening and what should be happening,
Psychological conflict arises.
Nothing needs to be rejected.
Nonduality does not require withdrawing from ordinary experience.
Thoughts,
Emotions,
Sensations and the world can all appear without creating actual separation.
The fundamental inquiry is not,
How do I become something?
It is closer to What is here before the mind defines what is happening.
Ultimately,
There are not two.
Not a separate self-experiencing awareness,
But awareness and everything appearing within it.
And this unfolds as not that one is failing to find what is being sought,
The deeper question is whether there was ever a separate someone.
Who was lacking anything in the first place.
