Hello again,
My name is Pratika.
Welcome.
Today's video is called What is here before the next thought or feeling?
Together now,
Let's look into a very simple exploration.
What is here before the next feeling or thought?
Before anything new arises,
Just notice what is already present.
No need to name it.
No need to understand it.
Simply notice.
A feeling or thought appears.
Joy,
Sadness,
Anxiety.
Calm.
Rest in listeners.
It may be felt as a sensation,
A movement in the body.
A warmth.
A tightness,
A lightness.
Pressure.
Vibration.
A subtle shifting in energy.
Whatever it is.
It is known Feelings arise without effort,
Without invitation,
Without instruction.
And they are known.
They may linger,
They may deepen,
They may become lighter,
Or quietly fade away.
And in between these movements,
What is here?
What is present.
We become so accustomed to following feelings and thoughts,
Becoming so absorbed in them,
That we call them mine.
Behind these movements,
We really notice the quiet,
Spacious stillness.
Within each as they appear.
Notice there is no choosing what the next feeling will be.
It simply appears.
And it is known.
Then afterwards a thought may quietly appear.
This is my feeling.
And for a moment the feeling seems to belong to a someone.
Again,
Before that thought,
What is present?
Every feeling changes.
Every sensation moves.
Every thought passes.
Yet,
The wholeness that knows them has quietly remained.
Throughout.
Unchanged What is it that knows each feeling?
Does that knowing change with each experience?
Or does it simply remain exactly as it is?
Not separate from experience,
Not outside of it,
Simply here.
And now,
Before the next feeling,
What is here?
And as the next feeling appears,
Is it possible to let it be exactly as it is.
Christine.
Unclaimed.
Without immediately naming it,
Without immediately calling it mine.
Just for a moment.
Allowing it to rise,
As it is,
Within the quiet,
Open space.
Wholeness.
Notice nothing needs to happen,
Nothing needs to be managed.
Nothing needs to be understood.
The next feeling will unfold in its own time.
Just as every feeling,
Every thought has.
And it too.
Will be quietly known.
What is here?
What is whole?
What is complete?
Just as it is what has never been disturbed.
By any movement of the mind.
Blessings to you.
