Okay,
Hello and welcome.
I'm Melara Sage and I help women who are in their mind and their intellect connect into their intuition,
Connect back into their woman,
Connect back into themselves,
Connect into others,
And become more powerful,
More connected,
More powerful,
More intuitive,
More super womanish,
How about that?
So today's conversation,
How to move from intellectual to intuitive.
And I always talk about things that are dear to me because well,
They are dear to me,
Right?
So I want to share them,
I want to talk about them.
And this one is one of those that still to this day,
I'm working on and striving to improve myself within.
In Chinese astrology,
I'm what's called a metal monkey.
I mean,
Outside of that just being fun to say,
It means that I have a lot of mind energy.
And I didn't know this for a very long time.
I didn't know it when I started to meditate.
I didn't know it when I started on my spiritual journey.
And actually when I learned about it,
I was like,
Really,
Hmm,
That's intriguing.
And it wasn't until I really went to connect to my body and connect to the present moment that I realized how strongly,
How strong of a mind I had.
What came to me today was,
You know,
In school,
That was given value.
I was,
You know,
Straight A student,
Excelled at school.
It was very easy for me.
I didn't even ever study or anything.
It just was,
Thank goodness,
Because I probably wouldn't have studied.
And I probably would have not been so good at school.
And,
You know,
You're granted value for that,
Are we not?
When we get good grades,
When we understand concepts,
When we're able to take tests.
What about all those beautiful beings,
You know,
That aren't that,
But are so much,
Not necessarily more,
Because we're all more,
We're all special.
But what about all those beings that aren't intellectual,
But are just as special,
Have different powers?
You know,
They don't excel in school.
They don't get,
You know,
Patted on the back.
But I did.
What I realized today,
For some reason,
I guess probably because of this conversation,
That's why the hit came through,
Was that,
You know,
The pat on the back for getting good grades,
A pat on the back for doing well in school,
Just subconsciously allowed me to give my mind more power.
Not right or wrong,
Good or bad,
Right?
Just was.
When I first started meditating,
I found it extremely difficult,
As I think most people do.
It was definitely the monkey mind for me.
But I managed to meditate for many hours at a time.
But really,
When I hit the,
As I was saying,
When I kind of hit more of the resistance with the resistance to the power of the mind,
Or of the resistance,
Was when I wanted to really surrender.
Isn't that interesting?
When my intention was to really surrender to intuition,
To really hand my life over completely,
Then I found that my mind was a lot more active than perhaps I was aware.
So today we're gonna talk about moving from intellectual and intuitive.
And I wanna clarify,
This doesn't mean that you let go of your intellect.
And I also wanna clarify,
Nor does it mean that intuition is better than intellect.
It's very important that we all honor our gifts,
And we recognize our strengths.
But how do we open up the doors?
How do we perhaps have more of an awareness of which one we're in,
So that we can choose?
We can choose to be in our mind,
And when that is of benefit to ourselves.
And we can choose when to be in our intuition.
That's powerful.
We never want to deny that's not powerful,
But to have choice,
And to know the feeling and the resonance and the vibration of your intuition versus your mind is extremely powerful.
So we're gonna talk about that today.
I was an animal communicator for many years,
And that was really where I grew my intuition.
Because I started charging for it quite early on.
And when you charge for things,
Or I do anyways,
You tend to really push yourself,
Right?
Because you wanna show up,
Right?
Like if you just give it away for free,
You may or may not challenge yourself.
But when all of a sudden you're charging money for it,
You're like,
I'm gonna give it away for free.
And you're like,
I'm gonna give it to myself.
But when all of a sudden you're charging money for it,
Well,
Stakes are much higher.
And I would get those first initial hits of information when a question would arise.
And this is one of the most valuable things you can know,
Is that oftentimes,
Most of the time,
Almost all of the time I'm hearing right now,
Initial hit of information.
That first intuitive,
That first hit of information is usually intuition.
And then your mind wants to jump in,
Your mind wants to question the intuitive hit.
So when you're practicing intuition,
Part of it is really allowing that first initial information to come through,
And then really trusting it.
Trusting that that first hit was valid.
And one of the hardest things about intuition is trusting.
That's really what it's about,
Is learning to trust.
To trust something that can't be necessarily quantified or measured or calculated up against,
Something that you can't necessarily Google and check your answer to see if you're right,
Makes it challenging.
But that first hit,
And the reason I bring this up now is because if you ask a question,
Whatever question you're wanting to know,
And you allow that first hit to come through,
There's going to be a vibration that comes through with that hit.
And that's really the key to understanding intuition versus mind,
Is the feeling of the vibration of the information.
Now,
Most people don't really know what that means or aren't really sensitive enough to really catch the sensation.
So a large part of learning how to shift from intellectual into intuitive,
Or at least broaden your intuition so that you can choose,
As I mentioned,
Is to begin to open your feeling ability.
It never ceases to amaze me how,
When I work with clients who are very intellectual,
Who are scholars and lawyers and visionaries,
Even creatives.
Creatives,
Not so much.
It's mainly more of the scholars and intellects.
You know,
How little they can really connect to their body and feel.
And so our conversation today is to understand that,
While intuition,
You know,
Sometimes you feel it in your body,
And sometimes you hear it,
And sometimes you just know it,
Right?
Intuition can come through in many different channels.
But if you focus on being in your body and feeling more and expanding your ability to feel and to sense,
You're going to naturally expand your intuitive ability.
And why would that be?
Because just as I said,
You start to learn the vibration of information.
I call myself a truth hound.
Is that what I call myself?
I think that's what I call myself.
I'm a hound for sure.
A truth hound.
I can sense lies and truth very,
Very easily.
And I'm usually right.
99.
9% of the time I'm right.
I don't know.
I don't actually know the percentage,
But it's usually.
I actually don't know,
You know,
How often I'm wrong.
I'm not usually wrong.
But there's a particular vibration that comes through when somebody is lying,
Even when somebody is lying,
Even when somebody is not quite sure that they're lying or isn't sure whether they're telling the truth.
You know,
They're kind of like,
I think this is the truth.
There's even a vibration within that.
And I'm not talking about the tone of their voice.
I mean,
The vibration of their words.
And vibration is everything,
Right?
We all know that.
We are all vibrational beings.
Our universe,
Our world,
Our reality,
This room is vibrational.
Sound is vibrational.
Information is vibrational,
Right?
And vibration can be felt by your body and by your subtle bodies.
And there's so much beautiful information within vibration.
So as you allow yourself to open up to subtler and subtler fields of information,
You begin to connect and understand what different vibrations mean.
And you become more and more sensitive.
So that even in your own space,
If you have something that comes through,
And the reason I'm putting so much emphasis on this is because usually where people get hung up is the difference between a thought and an intuitive hit.
So let me just back up for just a second,
Right?
One of the biggest questions I've ever had is how do you tell the difference between a thought and an intuitive hit?
And this is how.
If you're not super familiar with your own body,
Super familiar with your own intuitive process,
And you just know your intuition,
One of the ways is by feeling.
And by feeling the vibration of the information.
Because intuition and mind are very different.
You can even sense deeper into the intuitive hit.
Where did the intuitive hit come from?
So for instance,
When I'm working with clients or I even work with a group of ladies,
I'll get lots of intuitive hits.
And it's like,
Okay,
Well,
Where did this one come from?
And where did this one come from?
And where did this one come from?
Because there's multiple channels of information that I'm receiving at once.
So it might be so-and-so's higher self,
Or it might be a spirit,
Or it might be an angel,
Or it might be all these different information and energy channels.
And so as you become more subtle and more tapped in,
Which is really just connection,
Which is really just opening up,
Then you can really gain the additional layers of information that comes with an intuitive hit.
So being able to feel.
But it's not just about feeling vibration.
The other advantage of feeling is,
For one,
You come into your body.
And by coming into your body,
You allow yourself to open up your lower chakras and to really open up the intelligence of your emotional body and of your feminine,
Which is also your receiver and your manifester.
So we want to open up these centers.
We want to feel more.
And opening up to feeling,
As I said,
Brings us into the body,
Which really brings us into the present moment.
Out of the mind into the present moment.
So just take a nice deep breath right now into your body.
And just draw your awareness to your body.
There's already instantly,
As it's not like it arrives,
But instantly as your awareness is drawn to your body,
You have availability to feel.
You have availability to feel.
So you have availability to feel in your body.
You have availability to information.
We are beings of the physical.
And so information can come through our physical bodies,
Through feeling,
Through sensation,
And through knowing,
Which is in the body.
Knowing is not in the mind.
Usually we have knowing either in our gut or in our heart.
Isn't that interesting?
Isn't that interesting?
That's intuition.
So when we're up in our heads,
We are often not really aware and in our body.
And what I mean by in our body is our awareness is not in our body.
Because obviously we're always in our body.
You can't not be in your body,
Right?
Like you wouldn't be functioning if you truly weren't in your body.
So we use that terminology to understand where our awareness is,
Where our focus is,
Where our attention is.
So when your focus and your awareness is in the body,
It allows you to be in the present moment.
Now you are privy to all the information that exists here now,
For there is only the now.
And so all the information is available right here,
Right now.
So take another nice deep breath and feel your body.
Feel what you're sitting on.
Feel your chakras.
If you're more sensitive,
Feel your meridians.
If you're more sensitive,
Feel the subtler bodies.
If you're more sensitive,
Feel the energy around you.
If you're more sensitive,
Feel the objects around you.
If you're more sensitive,
Feel the other beings perhaps around you or feel them around me,
For there is no such thing as positionality.
We are in the same room,
So to speak.
Feel,
Feel,
Feel,
Feel,
Feel,
Feel.
Pulls us out of our head and it opens us because to feel you have to be open.
And as we open up,
We connect more and more to more information.
We often think of our intuition as our third eye and yes,
Our third eye can play a very strong part of our intuition.
Specifically,
You know,
Clairvoyance,
The ability to see,
Vision,
Clairaudience,
The ability to hear.
Claircognance and clairsentience is much more in the body,
That knowingness and the empathy,
The empathic ability to feel other people's emotions and even what is in alignment for others.
Clairsentience can go into many different things where you can feel whether something is in alignment for you.
So let me give you an example.
Sometimes if I don't have a clear intuitive hit,
Meaning like a knowing or audible guidance or a visual guidance,
I will feel into things if I'm given two choices and I'm like,
Okay,
You know,
Which one is of my higher good?
Because there's never a right or wrong.
There's never a right or wrong.
I'll repeat that.
There's never right or wrong.
There's only choice and opportunity and invitations.
And so perhaps,
You know,
Which one is of higher service to you now or which one is more in alignment with you now or which one is more in alignment with your desires now.
If I can't get a clear intuitive hit,
I will feel into them.
I will imagine choice A and bring it into my space and feel it and experience it.
It will be very visceral as well as imaginative and I'll get to take myself down that journey of potential and then I'll feel into option B and take myself down that journey of potential.
And it's highly informative and that's all really through the body,
Through feeling.
So we often don't think of our feelings,
Of our emotions,
Of our body as being our source of intuition.
We often think of it as our third eye,
But our body is highly intuitive.
We talk about women having the gut instincts.
Men have it too,
But that's generally we say like the mother's instincts,
The mother's gut instincts,
Women's gut instincts.
It's of the body.
It's of the body.
So moving back to our conversation of how to move from intellectual into intuitive,
One of the best ways is to become more into your body.
And how do we do that?
One of the best ways to do that is to breathe.
Easy enough,
You're doing it already.
You're doing it right now.
But become aware of your breath.
So just do that right now.
Breathe and just breathe down into your belly,
Inhaling,
Letting your belly come out as you inhale,
Letting your belly drop.
You can even breathe all the way down into your pelvis where you will feel ever so subtly your pelvis slightly move on the inhale as your breath comes down into the body.
You'll feel ever so slightly your perineum drop down.
This is a complete breath.
If you breathe down to the pelvis and then you breathe up into your chest and then you exhale,
That's a full breath.
Now breath is very,
Very important for intuition.
Breath is very important for connecting your higher consciousness to your physical being,
To your physical vessel,
To your physical reality,
To the now.
It is very good for connecting heart into the grosser bodies.
So the higher settler bodies and with the gross bodies.
It's all about connection.
The breath is very good at connecting us and what did I say intuition was?
Largely connection.
So just breathe and just be aware of your breath and feel it in your body.
Feel the movement of your breath in your body.
Feel perhaps where it doesn't move in your body,
Where there's tension.
No judgment,
Just awareness.
And then just notice how as you watch and observe your breathing,
Your body usually starts to relax more and a little bit more and you gain a little bit more space.
I know you might even be feeling more of your body,
Feeling perhaps different chakras,
Perhaps feeling sensations in your body can be pain or tingling or warm or cold,
Could be anything.
This is the connector,
The connector out of your mind and into the now.
The connector out of the intellect and into the connection with all of the information that exists right here,
Right now.
Just your breath.
Because yes,
Of course we can meditate and I do that every single day.
Well,
That might be slightly untrue as there are days that I do not meditate,
But most days I meditate in some form or another.
But meditation isn't necessarily for everybody.
There's never one cookie cutter.
We all breathe and the great thing about breath is that not only can you bring yourself into the present moment now,
But you can do it anywhere at any time.
You can do it while you're driving.
You can do it while you're walking.
You can do it while you're talking to other people and having a conversation and just taking a nice full breath to bring yourself more deeply into yourself,
More deeply into available connection and communication with the other.
Breath also signals to your vagus nerve that you are resting and digesting,
Which again allows you to open up to more information.
Any level of fight and flight,
Which most humans are in,
Does not allow us to be clear in our intuition because emotion is not intuition.
Intuition is not emotional.
It has no emotion.
Intuition can ignite emotion.
It can trigger emotion,
But emotion is not intuition.
That's very important to understand because a lot of people will feel anxious or they will feel a fear and they believe that it is their intuition telling them something,
Not to do something.
Don't go down that road.
Don't do this,
Whatever it may be.
But you have to be able to feel into,
As I mentioned earlier,
You get information.
What is the vibration of that information?
Don't do that.
Okay.
I hear you.
And then just breathe into your body and feel.
Did that feel strong and powerful and clear?
That's an intuitive hit.
An intuitive hit has a clarity to it,
Like a snap.
It just snaps.
Whereas emotion has a vibrational energy of emotion,
Of emoting to it,
And often lingers in your space.
Isn't that interesting?
If you feel fear,
You usually don't have it in and out like a snap.
It usually comes in and kind of lingers around,
Hangs out,
Wants to have coffee or tea.
Intuition is a snap.
So being able to be present in the body and in the now and notice those kinds of differences will help you clarify whether it's an emotion,
An intuitive hit,
Or even a thought.
Now thoughts can also come in in a snap as well.
But you can follow your train of thought to an extent.
And usually your thoughts will continue.
They will continue to.
.
.
The mind just keeps going.
The mind will be like,
Yeah,
Yeah,
You shouldn't eat that.
And the reasons why you shouldn't eat that is because of this and this,
And this might happen,
And this,
And this,
And this,
And then this might happen.
Then who knows?
This might happen as well.
It'll just keep going.
So again,
There's usually more information.
I'll give you an example the other day.
We've had some rain here in the mountains of the foothills of the Sierras is where I live right now.
And I haven't jogged.
I go jogging most days and I haven't jogged for a couple of days because it's been raining.
It was raining and I was like,
You know what?
I'm going to jog anyways.
So I was about ready to go and my mind's like,
Yeah,
You don't want to do this.
It's going to be wet and it's going to be cold and you're going to catch a cold,
Which I don't even personally believe that to be true.
And then my mind went on and on and it just kept going.
And I was like,
Okay,
Mind,
Let's just stop for a second.
I took a nice deep breath and I just said,
Intuition,
Should I go for a jog?
And I got a clear,
Solid yes.
And I could feel the like nourishing and nurturing of the rain.
The funny thing was,
Is as soon as I started jogging,
It stopped raining.
But the mind kept going was my point.
The mind wanted to tell me all the reasons why,
And it wanted to give me all these reasons and it wanted to talk and it wanted to tell me a little story and it just kept going.
Right?
Because that's the mind energy.
But there is a vibrational difference between a thought and an intuitive hit,
Which is why feeling and opening up to feeling is such a massive portal to moving from intellect to intellectually intuitive.
How about that?
Or the intellectual intuitive.
Because ultimately you want to be both.
So you can start to feel the difference of vibration between a thought and an intuitive hit that comes through as you hear something.
Because in knowing,
Claircognizance,
Clairsentience are different.
They're in the body.
They're not a thought.
They're just very different.
And clairvoyance is very,
Very good to rely on because clairvoyance is a very,
Very clear channel images,
Things that you see.
But clairaudience hearing is where we get confused between intuition and thought.
So another thing you can do if you're unsure is you can say it out loud,
Whatever information you got and feel it in your body,
What happens in your body.
So for instance,
If you say,
Like I did this morning,
Maybe I shouldn't go on a run.
I can't even do it.
Like it doesn't even feel like right away I can,
I can sense the lie of myself.
But for practice,
Maybe I shouldn't go on the run.
Maybe I'll get sick.
And then feel in your body how that resonates.
What do you feel in your body?
Now it can also trigger an emotion,
But we already know emotion is not intuition.
But what kind of emotion does it trigger?
Does it trigger excitement?
Does it trigger fear?
And what is there for you to know?
If you continue to feel,
If you allow yourself just to feel,
To really be present with what you feel,
You'll get all the information.
It's all right there.
Anytime anybody says to me,
Well,
I don't know.
I say,
That's not true.
Try,
Ask yourself.
And they always get the answer.
It's that surprising.
You're all highly intuitive.
Stop playing games with yourself.
Stop pretending like you're not.
Question comes in,
How about feeling fear to do something,
But then as a way to face the fear to do the thing that I was apprehensive about?
Is that listening to my intuition?
Well,
That's being courageous,
But that doesn't necessarily mean that your intuition told you to do that.
Your intuition may have told you to do that or your intuition may have not,
But that's not necessarily intuition,
Right?
You're facing your fear,
Which is very,
Very beautiful.
The more you open up to feeling,
And you can even ask yourself this,
You know,
Cecilia,
You can ask yourself your own question and ask,
Is that intuition?
And what do you get?
The more you open up to feeling,
The more you will be able to sense and feel and acknowledge intuition.
You'll become more clear to you because you'll be able to tell the difference between different emotions and different vibrations.
And just like I did when I was saying when I couldn't make a decision between choice A or choice B,
I would feel into them.
I would get all the information I needed.
I didn't ask my mind what it thought because my mind would give me a very logical and analytical response that I didn't care to hear.
But one of the biggest things about intuition is trust.
And this is something still to this day I learn.
Still to this day I practice on trusting my intuition because it is our challenge.
It is our challenge,
It is most definitely my challenge to be intuitively driven.
All of you are here today because you go against the grain of what is considered normal.
You go against the grain of the information of science even and society.
You go against the grain of what you've been taught.
And your intuition,
Not always,
But oftentimes will guide you against that grain.
And the mind will want to go with the grain because the mind is highly programmable.
The mind is programmed.
It's like a computer.
Whatever you put into the mind,
That's what it has.
It's beautiful.
But the mind is not the one that senses subtle energies.
The mind is not the one that's connected.
Well,
The mind is connected to the higher self,
But the mind brings that information in for you to interpret through your intuition.
Following your intuition can sometimes be against the grain.
So it takes trust.
It takes trust to listen to the little voice in your head.
But each time you do,
You gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
So just to recap a little bit,
How to go from intellectual to intuitive or how to increase your intuition and therefore become even a smarter person.
Did you know that?
Did you know you actually become smarter when you increase your intuition?
So much wisdom and intelligence that is not carried through the mind.
And we do this by being available to our bodies and by opening up to feeling,
To feeling our own bodies,
To feeling our own emotions,
To feeling the sensations,
To feeling all of it,
Feeling the pain and the pleasure.
We open up to feel so that we can start to connect,
Connecting to subtle information,
Subtle bodies.
All the information is here now,
Right here in this room that we're both sitting in together.
So opening up to feeling and understanding the difference between intuition,
Emotion,
And thought.
You can do that by feeling the difference.
So I invite you the next time you have an intuitive hit to really sense,
To really sense what it feels like.
Even after it's gone,
You can still sense the vibration.
You can repeat it.
You can call it back into yourself and repeat it.
Just using your intention,
Just ask to feel what the intuitive hit felt like and feel its vibration.
And then you can bring in a thought and feel that vibration.
And then you can bring in emotion and feel that vibration.
You're very,
Very powerful.
Your intention is everything,
But you have to trust your intuition to increase it.
It's the only way.
The only way to increase your intuition is to trust it,
To open up to feeling,
To open up to being in the now,
Open up to the present moment,
Breathing into your bodies.
And when you get those intuitive hits,
You trust them.
What I mean by that,
You take action on them.
I so appreciate you joining me today.
