So hi everyone and thank you for joining me.

I'm honored to guide you on this sacred shamanic journey today.

Before we begin,

Let me share something that the shamans have known for thousands of years.

In this understanding of life,

Our deepest wounds are not just things that happen to us.

They are our greatest teachers and hidden within them lies our most powerful medicine.

So what does this mean?

It means that the very experiences that have caused us pain often become the source of our wisdom,

Our compassion and our ability to help others.

The healer carries the medicine of their own healing.

The one who has walked through darkness can guide others towards light.

Now this doesn't mean that we are grateful for trauma or we should start to dismiss our pain.

Not at all.

It simply means that when we are ready,

When we feel safe and supported,

We can journey to these tender places within ourselves and discover the gifts that they hold for us.

So today we'll take this inner journey to meet one of our wounds as a teacher and receive the medicine it has been keeping safe for you.

Now remember when we heal,

There are different routes,

Different therapies,

Different ways,

Different paths that you can take and just take this as one of the ways for me to access what I'm trying to heal.

Keeping an open mind,

Find a comfortable position where you feel safe and supported.

Now this work requires you to feel held.

So arrange your space however you need,

Whatever brings you comfort.

Blanket,

A pillow,

Anything.

And if at any point during this journey you feel overwhelmed,

You can simply wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes and open your eyes.

You are always in control.

You can go as deep or as gently as it feels right for you today.

So let's begin by taking three slow deep breaths together.

Breathing in safety and support.

Breathing out any tension or worry.

And again,

Breathing in your own strength and wisdom.

Breathing out what you no longer need.

And one more time,

Breathing in the love that surrounds you and breathing out,

Settling into this sacred moment.

Now in shamanic tradition we never journey alone.

We call upon our helping guides,

Ancestors or power animals to accompany and protect us on our travels.

Even if you've never heard of shamanic work or you're new to this,

Just keep an open mind.

All I'm doing is I'm tapping into my body,

Into my soul and just looking,

Finding a safe way for me to explore something that I've been experiencing.

I control the process and it is safe for me to do this work.

So I'm now simply going to think about what feels support for me.

Be it a faith,

A belief system,

I may want to think about guides,

Angels,

Power animals,

Ancestors,

Anything.

And now feel yourself connecting to the earth beneath you.

The floor that I'm lying on,

The mat,

The bed,

The chair.

Imagine roots growing down from your body,

Deep into the ground,

Anchoring you into safety and strength.

Now call upon your helping guides to be with you today.

They might be spirit animals,

They might be angels,

They might be ancestors or simply the loving presence of the universe.

Trust whatever comes to support you.

Now you might say this silently or out loud or just receive my words.

I call upon my helping guides to guide and protect me on this journey.

Please help me receive the medicine I'm ready for today.

As you start to feel the connection,

Feel the presence of your guides gathering around you.

You might sense them.

Some of you might see them in your mind's eye.

Simply trust that they are here.

Now in shamanic understanding,

Intention is everything and any sincere call made from your heart is always answered.

Now when we use visualization there's no right or wrong,

Nothing has to be perfect.

Even if you don't see anything,

Simply sitting here receiving the words,

Trust that the healing is happening.

Now imagine that in front of you there is a doorway,

There is a path or there is a portal,

An opening that leads to the inner landscape of your soul.

This might appear as a door,

A cave opening,

A hole in the ground or simply a shimmering light calling you.

Trust whatever appears for you.

This is the entrance to your soul.

Your guides are with you,

You feel safe and you carry your own inner light as you prepare to travel.

Take a moment now to set your intention for this journey.

Perhaps you want to understand a particular challenge in your life.

Perhaps you're ready to transform old pain into wisdom.

Perhaps you simply want to receive whatever medicine is ready for you.

Speak your intention silently now.

I journey today to receive the medicine of my wounds.

Please show me what I'm ready to see.

I journey today to receive the medicine of my wounds.

Please show me what I'm ready to see.

I journey today to receive the medicine of my wounds.

Please show me what I'm ready to see.

Now with your guides beside you,

Step through the doorway and into the inner landscape of your soul.

At this stage you may be feeling some changes in your physical sensations,

In your thoughts.

All that is fine,

Trust.

So as you step through the doorway now,

You now find yourself in a beautiful safe place in nature.

This might be a forest,

A meadow,

Maybe you're at the beach,

Maybe there is mountains.

Trust whatever appears for you.

This is your power place.

This is your inner sanctuary.

Just take a few moments now to look around this sacred landscape.

So safe,

So beautiful.

Notice the colors,

The feeling of the air,

Any sounds and just feel how safe and protected you are with your guides.

Ask your guides to lead you to the place where your wound teacher waits for you.

In shamanic understanding,

Everything has consciousness,

Everything has wisdom to share.

So your wound is not just a random inquiry,

It is a teacher who has been protecting you.

Follow your guides as they lead you through this inner landscape.

Now for some of you,

You might walk alongside a path,

Maybe it's water.

Just trust the journey as you go deeper and deeper and deeper.

Now eventually,

You arrive at a special place where your wound teacher resides.

This might be a cave,

A garden,

A temple or something completely unique.

This teacher has been waiting for you,

Holding your medicine safe until you were ready to receive it.

Now,

Before you enter this sacred space,

Take a moment to feel the love and protection of your guides.

They are here to ensure that this meeting is safe and healing for you.

Approach your wound teacher with respect and curiosity.

Our soul talks to us in different ways.

So this teacher might appear to you as a wise old man or a woman,

A wounded animal that needs care,

As a child or in some other form that your soul recognizes.

A word,

A symbol,

A vision,

A color,

Anything,

A feeling,

Trust,

Trust,

Trust,

Whatever appears.

Now put your left hand on the center of your chest.

Greet this teacher with respect.

You can repeat my words or receive them.

Thank you for protecting my medicine all this time.

I am ready to learn what you have to teach me.

Thank you for protecting my medicine all this time.

I am ready to learn what you have to teach me.

And now listen,

Not with your ears but with your heart.

What does this teacher want you to know?

What gift have they been keeping safe from you?

Now your wound teacher may show you images,

Give you words or simply offer you a feeling of deep knowing.

They might hand you a symbol,

A color,

A light or share a memory that holds new meaning.

This teacher has taken your pain and transformed it into medicine.

Perhaps your medicine is compassion for others who suffer in similar ways.

Perhaps it's strength that comes from surviving what you survived.

Perhaps it's wisdom about what truly matters in life.

Ask your teacher now.

Ask your soul now.

How can I use this medicine to help myself and others?

How can I use this medicine to help myself and others?

Listen with your whole being now and let the wisdom flow into you.

Now your teacher may offer you a special gift to take back with you.

A symbol of your medicine that you can carry in your heart.

This might be a crystal,

A feather,

A flame,

A word or something completely unique to you.

For some of you it can just be a feeling in your body.

So accept this gift with gratitude and let's take now our second hand,

Our right hand,

Put that on the heart as well and place this gift into the heart where it will always be available to you.

If it feels right,

Offer something back to your teacher.

Perhaps your gratitude,

A promise to honor this medicine or a commitment to help others with what you've learned.

Feel as you breathe into your heart.

Deep healing happens when we transform our wounds into medicine.

You are not just a victim of what happened to you.

You are a medicine carrier.

You are a wisdom keeper.

You are a healer who can help others because of what you walk through.

Thank your wound teacher for this sacred exchange.

You may visit this teacher again anytime you need to remember your medicine or receive more healing.

Your conscious mind doesn't need to understand the exchange that has happened today.

On a soul level you have brought something in,

You have healed something and the conscious mind will catch up when it has to.

With your guides now once again leading the way,

Begin your journey back to reality.

Carrying this medicine gift into your heart,

Start walking back through the sacred landscape.

The same path that we took coming in,

I am now walking back along the same path.

Walking back,

Walking back,

Walking back and back and back and back.

Now you arrive back at the doorway where you began this journey and your guides are still with you.

Maybe they are celebrating the medicine that you've received.

Step back through the doorway now and find yourself returning to your physical body.

Return to your room,

Return to your bodies,

Return to the moment.

As you breathe into your heart now,

Feel the medicine gift glowing there.

You've brought something in with you,

It's in your heart now,

This is yours now.

Now this wisdom can heal not only you but others that need what you've learnt.

Thank your guides now for their protection and their guidance.

Thank you for keeping me safe and helping me receive my medicine.

Feel those roots still connecting you to the earth,

Drawing up grounding energy to help you integrate this powerful experience.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Gently move your head side to side,

Take some deep breaths and when you feel ready,

You can slowly open your eyes and open your eyes.

Take a moment now to simply be with what you've experienced today.

You've done sacred work,

You've transformed your pain into medicine.

This is the way of the shaman,

Of the healer and the wisdom keeper.

Remember that this medicine lives in you now,

In the days,

Weeks and hours ahead.

Notice how this wisdom wants to express itself,

How it changes the way you see your own story.

Your wounds are not your weakness,

They are the source of your medicine.

You are not broken by what you've survived,

You are made wise and compassionate by it.

Thank you for taking this sacred journey with me.

Thank you for having the courage to transform your pain into medicine.

Now honoring the medicine keeper that you are,

You can take this healing into your day,

Into your night and you're very welcome to return to this journey.

You may have a different,

Deeper experience every time you explore this.

Thank you very much for joining me today and Namaste.
