Welcome,

I'm glad you're here.

As you arrive,

Continue settling in,

Taking whatever your body needs to feel comfortable.

Allow the eyes to close as you gently turn your attention inward.

Feel the places of contact where your body is touching the surface supporting it.

Notice what sounds are present in your space.

No need to go searching for them.

Allow yourself to receive,

Tuning in to your sense of hearing.

Moving from sound to sight,

Even with the eyes closed,

Please move the awareness to the visual stimuli that's behind your eyelids.

Moving to smell,

Allowing all of your attention to center into your nose.

Receiving and picking up on whatever sense may be lingering in the air,

Or maybe you can't pick up on any sense.

Either way,

Allow the attention to rest there.

Allowing yourself to explore taste.

Also exploring moisture or dryness in your mouth.

Tension or ease.

Seeing if you can tune in to the subtle sensation of the air on your skin.

Noticing yourself breathing.

Checking in if you can deepen the breath just a little bit.

And as you do that,

What happens?

Maybe the sensation changes.

Maybe the pattern changes.

Take a few moments and just get curious what happens when you deepen your breath.

There's no right or wrong,

But take note if anything has shifted for you emotionally,

Or maybe cognitively,

During our few moments together.

Is there a greater sense of ease?

Is there a slowing of the mind?

If you notice any particular shifts,

Recognize how that feels in your body.

The present moment is where our sense of calm and ground lives.

So I invite you to come back often to check in with your senses and land in the here and now.

Thank you for sharing your time with me.

It's truly an honor.

Be well.
