Welcome to your meditation.
Today's meditation is titled I love myself.
Take a few moments to settle in.
Find yourself in a comfortable position whether seated or laying down.
Exhaling and exhaling,
Noticing your breath today.
Is it shallow?
Is it deep?
Is it soft?
Feeling supported,
Grounded by the earth beneath you.
Give your shoulders a roll.
Feeling yourself melting into the ground.
I invite you to take a deep inhale and slowly exhale.
Let's do that a few more times.
And exhaling.
And one last time inhale.
And slowly exhale.
We're going to begin our meditation today with a little body scan.
Notice your left foot.
Your right foot.
Your left leg.
Your right leg.
Your pelvis.
Your torso.
Left arm.
Right arm.
The neck.
The jaw.
The nose.
The ears.
The tongue.
The lips.
The forehead.
The top of your head.
The nose and your lips,
Inhaling and exhaling through the nose only if this is comfortable.
Separate your teeth.
Relaxing your jaw.
Putting your tongue on the floor of your mouth.
Taking a deep inhale and an even slower exhale.
And inhaling.
Exhaling.
Inhale.
And exhaling through the mouth.
Closing your lips.
And just returning to the natural rhythm of your breath.
Now bring your awareness to the chest.
The heart area.
Take a deep breath in,
Then exhale and let this area soften.
Continuing to breathe here.
Turning into this area and starting to notice how it feels.
Is it heavy?
Tense?
Tight?
Or perhaps it's open,
Soft or light.
Whatever is coming up for you right now,
See if you can just be with it.
Be with your heart and the sensations that are present.
Really feel into it.
As you breathe here,
Bring the word love to mind.
Holding it in your mind's eye.
How does this word make you feel?
What starts to come to mind?
Perhaps it's a feeling,
A memory,
A situation or person.
Now I want you to reflect on that word in relation to yourself.
How does that feel?
What comes to mind?
So often we focus on extending love outwards,
But today let's focus on bringing love inwards.
Take a deep breath in and visualize bright white light coming from all directions towards you.
You feel a sense of warm and ease wash over your entire body.
Sitting in this aura,
It is safe to release anything that is standing in your way from loving yourself freely and more deeply.
Bring this item to mind now that it's blocking you and needs to be released.
Envision this white light healing it through self love and self compassion.
As it begins to dissolve gracefully.
Feel the body and heart get lighter and the mind becomes more peaceful and free.
Repeat after me.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
Continue repeating these words for a few minutes to yourself as you stay connected to your heart.
Staying them with meaning and intention.
Take a deep breath in and on your exhale slowly release your hand back down to your side.
Gently scan the heart area and notice any shifts.
How do you feel?
Loving ourselves can seem so much harder than loving others.
But it's often what we need the most.
See if you can move forward being a bit more kind and gentler towards yourself.
Self love is a practice and we always have the option to choose again.
To choose ourselves and to choose love.
Bringing this warm and expansive energy you've created in the heart and allowing it to travel through the body.
You are lighter.
You are open.
You are freer.
Taking a deep inhale and slowly exhale.
And inhale and exhale.
Maybe circling your fingers and your toes.
And then the opposite direction.
Turning your head to the left.
And to the right.
Stretching your arms and your legs in opposite directions.
Giving yourself a really nice long deep stretch.
Lengthening that spine.
Perhaps rolling over onto your side using your arm as a pillow.
With your other hand supporting yourself and moving yourself back into a seated position.
Put your right hand on your heart with your left hand over it.
Giving yourself gratitude for yourself.
For making yourself important.
For giving yourself this beautiful and peaceful time to connect back with your heart.
Thank you so much for joining me today and Namaste.
